It happens every once in a while that I accidentally press lower instead of increase autonomy and thus get a huge revolt risk (25-30%) instead of more manageable 5-10%.

It is pain in the butt to go back to an earlier save as most of the time you increase autonomy after a war, so you often have to go through part of the war again.

I don't play ironman, but I imagine it must be a royal pain if it happens.

I think it would be better if there's something to prevent that from happening. Maybe move them further apart in the interface, or make it so the changing autonomy requires a confirmation.

Since it is irreversible, has a huge impact on RR and takes forever for RR to drop, anything to let us alleviate it. Maybe allow us to change it right back in the next 10 days or something.

Moving the buttons to opposite sides of the interface might be doable, but there's still the problem of accidentally clicking the wrong button, which is only really alleviated by confirmation dialogs and that's not ideal for large empires.

Hmm, maybe normal click could trigger a confirmation dialogue while shift+click could do it automatically...

Yeah I've made the mistake of derping and thinking lower autonomy = lower revolt risk (I'm thinking of authority) only to have it blow up in my face more than once. Being able t do take-backs within 12 days would be good...

It should at least take a couple days to go into effect. Maybe after you click but before it goes into effect you could cancel it or something.
