My game keeps crashing when it definitely should not. A saved game that I have been working on suddenly decides to not load, with windows claiming to be a low memory issue (Barely 6GB is used out of my 8) The game also spits out an error box with some garbled message that I can't read since the other error from windows covers it up and freezes it. I have not installed or removed any mods since I last opened this file.

Here's a pastebin of the error log if that is needed.
http://pastebin.com/tPV6hucn

I figure specs shouldn't be needed, they're more than enough to play this game smoothly.

I had the same issue, in different flavors.

I got 8 GB, the game used 6 GB of RAM plus 4 GB in pagefile = 10 GB.

Next session it took only 1.7 GB because there were leftabouts in the pagefile to be "reused", the usage in pagefile was 7 GB.

Hmm.

I helped myself in creating a textfile, delete it with wiping (BCWipe) incl. wipe of swapfile usage and reboot.

Steam and CSL need so much careful touching.
Recheck file integrity twice a day or more.
Repair borked Steam every two days.
Reboot.
Reboot.
Reboot.

Since 1.07c

Not sure if this applies to you but I've seen that Access Violation and code before and the root cause was faulty memory, a problem with the RAM. Is there a way you can run diagnostics on your RAM
Ran a diagnostics and nothing came up, RAM is working fine apparently.

My guess is that a recent patch (after 4/5) came out and mucked up one of my mods.

Seems to be a mod issue. Disabled them all, loads fine , abit with a ton of error messages due to the now absent mods.

I don't know why it decided to happen all of the sudden.

I got it working again, unsubscribing from everything with the help of this:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Steam/comments/2cdatc/is_there_a_way_to_unsubscribe_from_all_workshop/

Then deleting evrything inside the Steam folder but not these:
Steam.exe
SteamApps folder

but inside SteamApps I deleted the folders:
common\Cities_Skylines\Cities_Data\
common\Cities_Skylines\Files\
common\Cities_Skylines\Mono\
common\Cities_Skylines\Tools\
and
workshop\content\255710\

and the files:
common\Cities_Skylines\Cities.exe
common\Cities_Skylines\colossal.cgs
common\Cities_Skylines\steam_api64.dll

Launched Steam, it redownloaded and reinstalled itself.

After done and launched C:SL first I recognized some leftabouts of deleted workshop items in content manager / Steam workshop:
entries without a name but the workshop id - I "unsubscribed" from them inside the game.

I exited the game and it was clear vanilla now.

So I made a Steam backup of this state.

Now it works again, incl. (less) mods and (less) assets.
