Having a blast with the update. Loving all the little quality of life things - "tile blocker cleared!" that's surprisingly useful. The new unity system with the traditions is pretty damn cool. War goals feel alot more fluid and logical. Missiles are a thing now! Yay! They still get shut down by PD (as they should) but they appear to be perfectly viable now(pending further testing, ofc).

Invading planets is alot harder because you're restricted as far as how many troops you can land, so troop quality is now a thing. I'm loving the new empire customization - the new civics and their unique mechanics are making the races feel unique. (also, thanks for adding new colours!)

All in all, I'm pretty overwhelmed by it all. It's just... so.. damn.. good. Nice job, PDX! Stellaris is really shaping up.

I'm thinking of getting it. So you think its worth the $20 price point? paradox dlc just keep getting more expensive :( $15 --> $20.

I agree. WIth the last years updates to Stellaris feeling extremely lack luster and rushed, this one is a refreshing change, and really instills me eagerness to see what else is coming. I'm as excited about Stellaris as I was waiting for it's initial release, and that makes me extremely happy.

I'd like to see extensions to the ascension and unity though. The 1 big complaint was that every faction felt the same, every alien felt the same, and while I agree Utopia brought a good turn around to this, the new systems don't entirely fix it either. The unity tree's every nation has to eventually choose them all anyway, so again nothing special or "different".

Most factions will use the same Ascension perks the only real differences are the 3 specific big branches now, and while that's awesome, I'd really like to see more expansion to this system to allow for even more unique changes, and not being able to choose all the tree's.

That little tid bit aside though, I do love 100% everything they did in Utopia and Banks.

I think it's 20$ because this is literally the size of 2 DLCs in 1, and You could argue its Stellaris 2.0 since so many base mechanics have changed, or were tweaked. 20$ imo is worth it.

Very nice! Good to know that Army Damage is now a relevant modifier.

I was pleased to note that influence does not appear to be severely lacking, despite the drop from base 3 to 2.

Customizing your governments is also a nice improvement. It no longer feels cookie cutter / stats over roleplay.
