Seems like many are giving their voice of disapprovement to this new expansion (as always) and yes, there has been a few bugs (as always) that PDX are hammering out now. Just wanted to say it´s some neat improvements, while I would have liked a bit more
Rebel system gives more insight to why rebels rise and while i´m abit annoyed that I happened to hit the wrong autonomy button and must wait 30 years to undo this at a newly conquered province. It makes more sense and the combined uprising is challenging and realistic (in my games at least). Could be a little improvement to see rebels rise during a revolt if this is not already implemented. Like the patriots counquer a core land and gains momentum, or make them able to actually recruit and reinforce better when they have some control of an area.
AI seems to be handling better and more sensible, in the 1.8.1 beta fix I doesn´t seem to see AI troops standing idle by with lots of single armies. Also the BBB and others seems more manageable yet challenging. Way more balanced to the player without making them too easy and make it impossible for AI to expand. Don´t know if this is a fix or a bug, but AI generals are less frequent in French army. If it is a fix, glad for it as I hated AI having six top generals that mushed up my army without anything to do about it.
Generals could have been improved a bit in my opinion, so you could invest in army tradition and make it harder to get and lose. Perhaps having a recruitment period for generals.
On a side note, always wondered why diplomats doesn´t have a travel-time to a target? make sense you can send him of in a instant to sign a peace treaty or alliance, but the way back takes time... This could be implemented with making the diplomat stay at a court and having him assigned to different tasks instead of calling him home first.
