Hey everyone,

I recently purchased Stellaris and am loving it. I have also purchased many other Paradox games in the past so I know they can be tough to learn. I love history and in particular WW2. I am kinda of in an odd spot. I will probably either buy the $89 version or non at all. All or nothing so to speak. Either that or wait for it to go on sale. I got a few questions I am hoping someone is kind enough to help me with.

1. I believe I read the timeframe of the game is limited, in as far as to win it so to speak. However can we play past that time limit if we wish to? Understanding scores and other things probably wont progress with us.

2. Any idea how hard its going to be to be functional in this game? I enjoy a challenge but not from the UI or the menus, I enjoy it from the AI or human opponent. A lot of Paradox games are really deep but can be confusing. I have watched some YouTube videos trying to help with this concern but wanted your opinions. BTW Loved how easy Stellaris was to get into, then learn details as you progress.

Anyway thanks to anyone that provides feedback and I hope to see you in the game.

The score board comes up in 1948, but you can continue to play.

I think it will be more complex then Stellaris.

Hey everyone,

I recently purchased Stellaris and am loving it.
I thought I was the only one!

1. I believe I read the timeframe of the game is limited, in as far as to win it so to speak. However can we play past that time limit if we wish to? Understanding scores and other things probably wont progress with us.
IIRC it was confirmed by the devs that yep, you can press a continue button, but after the standard ending no achievements can be earned.

Probably quite a bit harder than Stellaris, closer to EU4. However they say they've been working a lot harder on tutorials this time (set during the Italian invasion of Abyssinia) and like in HOI3, you can automate a lot of mechanics.

the game ends in '48
but you will get an option to continue the game
but in my view there's no point cuz everyone has the latest tech
and it will nothing but a nuclear warfare

True at some point it probably doesn't make a lot of sense, just if I am in the middle of something I like the option to play it on out. Thank you for the response

At GreenManGaming you can currently get 25% off by using the code Iron25. So that might be the sale price you had in mind.

The interface will be more complex than Stellaris, but much more intuitive and easy to use than EU4 and HOI3

Hearts of Iron IV will be alot more complex than Stellaris, yes. That doesnt mean it will be much harder to get into tho, since they actually took alot of time to include a propper tutorial, tooltips and streamline the mechanics to make them easier to learn, but mastering them will still take quiet a bit of learning. Dont expect min-maxing the first week you are playing. :D
