Loss of control loop

Sorry, should have posted this here first.

I am playing as the US in the 1941 scenario. I annexed Portugal and conquered the majority of Spain. Since I didn't want to chase the Spanish capital all over the world, I decided to Puppet Spain. This left Germany in control of the provice of Cordoba, which was occupied by one Spanish motorized infantry unit. I entered Cordoba with a unit and found myself in a never ending message loop. Ever hour of the game (in other words, ever second or two) a message came up, "We have lost control of Cordoba to Germany." If I left the provice, it went back to Germany, but when I occupied the province with the Spanish unit still present, I got the message 24 times per game day. It was very distracting.

I experienced a similar problem when puppeting sweden (as SU). The problem fixed itself when I saved and reloaded.

Yes it did.

It happened just once a month ago:

I was playing SSSR and was at war with both axis and allies and puppeted Sweden. I think that one of their provinces (I think it was the one next to Oslo) went to the British and I imediatly sent troops in to retake it.

They took care of it but then it happened! Once per hour I got a message that I lost the control to the Brits.

I was thinking about reporting it, but since it worked out when I saved/reloaded I let it be.

And NO I do not have a savegame! I've just reformated my harddisk!

Ok how to report this then... Did you find any rationale on when this happens? Specific conditions and such? Paths that could lead to a 100% guaranteed reproduce?

No, I don't really have any ideas. But it seems like somethings is restored whenever you reload a game. At least I've heard the following:

1) Problems with leader assingment when you have exp. forces.

2) Constant weather (three years of rain over europe makes you feel like you live in Denmark in a three year autum!)

3) Some peopel says that the AI is improved by reloading (I never tried this)

4) And now this control loop

This might lead to a suggestion to put a feature in the game that loads the game just after autosave or something like that.

Vulture,

I have seen this bug, but the work around I used meant that I had to save the game then restart. The save and restart cleared the bug.

In my case playing as England, I had puppeted Italy then invaded Germany through Austria.

Whenever the only units in a German province where Italian, the game would display a message along the lines of "You have lost <province> to the Germans". This would happen every hour that an Italian unit was the only one in the province. But, if I saved the game and reloaded it all would be well. From that point on I made a habit of saving and exiting immedialtely after puppeting a nation.
