Is there a place when we can read Devs/Leads thoughs on the game? So i can read about the diraction teh game is going, what kind of impromenvts changes we can expect in the futer and things like that?
Yes and given that lack of manpower, they do it well. The dev diary nearly every week needs about an hour to write, and occasionally they comment on some threads, but doing more would actually need a dedicated person for that job, otherwise this takes up too much time. Not to mention, that not everyone should be doing that, some people might do more harm than good.Sure, and I'd be really super-happy if Paradox hired a full-time community manager who did nothing other than post on the forums all day. But they don't have anyone in that role, so the task falls to others.
Uhhh wtf are y'all talking about? This is exactly what @BjornB does...
I appreciate the civil tone of the discussion but damn this thread if it isn't surreal at times.
It's called labour code and you actually get fined if you violate it. It is also called human decency, that you don't force people who are sick to work and spread the bug around. Also it is called a contract, which specifies how many hours you are trading in for the wage you earn.

It would be nice if patches didn't break working things, for example custom maps.
Do not agree with this formulation, some breaking changes for the better."It'd be nice if the devs were never allowed to change or improve anything in case it breaks something a third party has made!"
Here in America we do force sick people to come to work (a lot of jobs don't even have sick pay); most of our employment is "At will", which means you can be fired at any time for any reason; most jobs don't have contracts that would limit the number of hours a person can be forced to work; and there's no such thing as a "labor code." (I'm a lawyer who used to practice employment law before I switched to being a prosecutor, so I would have heard about a "labor code.")
As for human decency -- wishing for a thing does not make it so.
America is not the sort of civilized place that Europeans are used to. (Maybe that's where some of the confusion comes from.)

I'm sorry but I completely disagree Jamor, it would be so much better in my opinion of course if you guys would actually respond to comments more than what you guys do now and to actually acknowledge bug reports etc and I do not think that it would take all of the dev's just to work on a game. Then again I admit I don't know anything about coding etc, but still would really be nice if actually responded more to comments
Yes, I would like that as well. It doesn't have to be detailed, or rather it shouldn't be, since that would create inflated expectations. But a general idea of what parts of the game will get reworked or expanded would be nice. A general roadmap, that gives us an idea where the game is headed, something like "We're going to expand diplomacy in the next DLC, then focus on warfare, besides that we're adding more victory conditions and rework FTL." That would just give those of us who are interested an idea of what we can expect, without giving away anything specific.@ross-g
Thanks, but i know about dev diary. Its nice. But it focuses on specifics and i am more intrested in general approach. Will game get simpler or more complaicated? Will map/hyperlens/other ftp play more part or will remain unchaged? Is there a plane to make game more tactical (meaning fleet stances/fleet types/more varied sheip types etc). Will we get more diplomatic options/wargoals etc.?
So i am more intrested in general direction, aproach and longterm outlook than specific features itself.
I do hope they make a patch fixing the current build before putting out the next big patch/dlc.
Losing hope is kinda harsh since they are still actively working on it, so i still got hope...
