The only ones I remember completing were the Cybrex. I remember like the Yuht Empire, the First League and those were it. Back then, I haven't been able to complete it.

Has anyone able to complete the precursor events of any precursor empires? I'd like to know how they rose and how they fell, plus the texts that says their 6 missions plus the finding of their homeworld and whatnot!

Precursors actually have quite a fascinating lore, but the rewards for finding their homeworld are mostly lacking (apart from Cybrex)
Cybrex are practically a machine consciousness similar to the AI end-game disaster. They were doing a good job of purging all organic life in the galaxy, but couldn't realise why organics keep fighting. Eventually they surrendered to Cybrex Alpha with no answer for why aliens do not give up and eventually let themselves be destroyed after some time.

The First League was an ancient federation of numerous tiny empires which was controlled from an ecumenopolis (planet-wide city). One day the League collapsed, and the survivors on the capital planet stopped receiving food from the colonies and ended up starving to death.

The Irassians had a weak immune system and their Concordant was plagued by a deadly disease, which eventually led to death of most of their species. Eventually, someone decided to completely devastate their homeworld in order to stop the spread of disease.

Those are actually the only precursor events I was able to finish. I think Yuht were simply destroyed by a younger race with FTL ships, and I have no clue for Vultaums.

The Vultaum decided that the reality which they lived in was a computer simulation and attempted a mass suicide in order to break it somehow....it's not entirely clear what they thought they were going to achieve by doing this, other than possibly getting into the Stellaris bug reports forum.

I've yet to complete that one (what with the bugged home system mechanic) but that's what I was guessing.

It's an interesting idea, and one us humans are contemplating even today- if we assume that it's possible to simulate a reality with any degree of fidelity approaching "real", then there is a vanishingly small chance we're not in a simulation. Not nessecarily a "matrix" style one, we might just be a digital terrarium, but if we can create a simulation complex enough that it itself could create a simulation, there's zero way to know for certain that we're not somewhere in a nested stack of simulations.

The Vultaum had widespread immersive VR, so it's entirely believable to me that they grew obsessed with the same conclusion. If they could create such immersive, lifelike simulations... how would they ever know they weren't already in one?

This one definitely seems the most realistic to me out of all of them, especially considering how successful cultures try to commit suicide so readily. Mass Suicide on a Galactic Scale to me just seems like such a real possibility it would probably be the first thing I would think of if we ever discovered a giant alien graveyard on some far off planet.

Interesting. I wonder if the First League and Irassians could be hints for future DLCs? Planets transforming into certain types according to specialization late game, and galaxy wide pandemics?

Last one that hasn't be talked about is the first one I ever finished, the Yuhts.

After over a million of year believing they were the only sentient species in the galaxy, they finally encountered another one. After the shock had passed, they realized that, actually, they liked being the only sentient species, and promptly tried the wipe them out. One tiny problem though; while the other species had been around for a tiny fraction of the time the Yuhts had, this other species had developed several technologies - including FTL travel - that the Yuhts had never even thought of, giving them a decisive advantage that eventually led to them wiping out the Yuhts. Yuhts must have never read The Road Less Traveled.

I kinda hope they expand on these, especially now that we are all but certain to finish the chain now. Not only new precursors, but also unique bonuses to each on. ATM the only one that offers something good beyond a system you can't colonize (well, as of 1.4) and a bunch of science is the Cybrex with Living Metal (which isn't really unique, just a guaranteed source of Living Metal in the galaxy that your empire is going to be close to a source of). I mean, the Yuhts lived for thousands of years and were colonizing space with slower-than-light travel, the Vultam made VR that was so realistic that they began to doubt reality, the Irrassians apparently had some pretty nifty medical tech to compensate for their poor immune system and the First League kept up a cosmopolitan empire/federation with a planet-sized capital city for thousands of years. Surely they have something that your Empire can use that it might have never discovered otherwise.

Ive finished the Cybrex, the First League, and the Irassians.

The Cybrex were more or less on the verge of successfully wiping out organic life when they suddenly had a change of heart and retreated to Crybrex Alpha. Several hundreds to thousands of years later the surviving organic races stumbled onto Cybrex and, remembering the near genocide, banded together to wipe out the Cybrex remnants. Curiously the Cybrex seemed to not put up too much resistance and simply faded into the night.

Despite the First League being my favorite thematically their story is more than a little anticlimactic. Essentially one day the trade that the League so desperately depended on just stopped and everyone starved.

The Irassians have a complex story equal parts tragedy and comeuppance. Early on it is established that the Irassians were suffering from a terrible plague devastating their worlds and in event after event you read heart wrenching stories of Irassians trying desperately to halt the plague, to no avail. You also get snippets of tales talking about the Irassian empire and the races they subjugated. You learn that several resistance formed and attempted to take advantage of the plague to win their independence. When you finally reach the Irassian homeworld you find it strangely clam with no signs of the panic that gripped the earlier colonies, as fit the remains of the Irassians simply were resigned to their fate.

So let me get this straight...... the Yuhts are a Precursor Empire.... that never developed FTL!?!?!?!? You mean the thing that we develop at the beginning of the game? They were colonizing space for thousands of years (I am assuming that they only colonized like 2 or 3 star systems?) and as soon as they meet another Alien race they instantly get REKT. How exactly are the Yuhts even at a level where they can be called a Precursor Empire? How were they even referred to as an Empire? The only way that I can see this working is if, the Yuhts were actually the very first Sentient species in the Galaxy, and when they found the next species that wiped them out, that was the very first contact between two Alien races to ever take place. Now that at least would be worthy of its own storyline. Is that what happened?

More interesting about the yuth story is in my eyes, how did they manage to communicate and get their fleet together to attack the young empire in a reasonable amount of time? Also if communication was also locked to the speed of light it can be assumed that most of the yuht got wiped out before even knowing they were waging an offensive war against another species that backfired.

I think the Yuht are the most interesting precursor, being the first sentient species to colonise the stars. They relied on cryogenics and their 1000 year long lifespan to colonise instead of FTL technology.
The fact that they didn't have advanced technology that allowed them to win the war despite being around for a long time, is actually really realistic. Scientific and technological advancement has come from being receptive to new ideas, as well as a reason (mostly war and conflict) to push it hard. Given that they believed they were in a galaxy devoid of sentient life, they never bothered to advance their tech and got wrecked by the next species to crop up.

My first try at Stellaris and I've had the Irassian event.
Unfortunately the Irassian homeworld spawned inside a Fallen Empire who have had their borders closed to me since I met them.
Is there any way I can get to that system apart from declaring war cause I can't see myself winning that conflict?

If they're xenophobes, probably not. Otherwise, try using Frontier Outposts to push your borders inside theirs.

Nah, you're screwed.

Precursor home systems are bugged right now- if you enter them while they're inside another empire's borders, or if another empire surveys anything there first, you can't complete it.
