Hi everyone,

A few months back, I created a post in the general CK2 forum as I was feeling out the possibility of doing a CK2 LP. The response from all of you was just awesome. Thank you again for the warm reception.

I posted the first episode of my Let's Play today. My channel features daily LPs in two timeslots (I have a bonus third series running right now), and I tend to focus on games with grand narrative. In particular, I enjoy recording and showcasing games that spark the imagination and create emergent stories rather than telling stories directly.

I really went back and forth over who, where, and when I wanted to play... but at some point I just decided to do a series that I thought would be fun and unique, even if it wasn't one I had a ton of experience with or one that might go particularly well.

The first week of Lord of the Scots has gone unusually well. The Duke of Fortriu, who typically gives early Pictish players a lot of grief, resolved himself as a problem for us rather nicely. You have to see it to believe it. We're pressing toward our goal of conquering the British Isles, but things have slowed in recent episodes due to the impending death of King Ciniod. Which could, of course, change everything.

Just wait until you see what happens (today) to kick off week 2.

Here's the link to the latest in the series. We've had a few different successions at this point and, as of the moment of this posting, Pictland is currently being ruled by its most successful monarch yet. Definitely off to a strong start, with some rocky edges.

I have to say, my favorite part of the series thus far has been the feedback from experienced Paradox community members and CK2 players. The comments really help to make the series into something even better than it started as with my recordings, and I hope to see them continue. My thanks to all of you.

I want to stress that feedback remains welcome, particularly for this series. The participation from Paradox community members made the first 20 episodes so much more unique and entertaining an experience for the channel.

Part II of the series (21-40) is complete and Lord of the Scots returns September 4. Scotland has been founded, civil wars have been fought and won, and we're well on our way to establishing a Britannic Empire with a Scot on the throne. Plenty to catch up on!

I want to stress again that feedback remains welcome, particularly for this series. The participation from Paradox community members made the first 20 episodes so much more unique and entertaining an experience for the channel. I wasn't able to incorporate as much feedback in this portion because over 10 episodes were recorded in advance before I went on vacation across the country... and it shows in some frustration I experience toward Episode 40. But, I'll be addressing that and more when the series returns in September.

Hi everyone. Part III (41-60) is live and ready for viewing! The series will be returning, hopefully for its final run, in a special timeslot within the next month.

Much progress has been made. We only need capture less than 20% of the British Isles to declare ourselves Emperor of Britannia! I'd also like to give my sincere thanks to those of you who have been following along and offering detailed advice from the beginning. It will make the series useful to me and to other new players in the future.
