You haven't even used them or seen them more than once. This thread is sufficient for feedback until more is known.

You could try attending the stream Thursday but I doubt they will be asking for player input at this time.

Edit: there is the official heavy metal is on the way as that is a feedback thread where this one is technically a standard forum thread .

Oh you are right that is why I'm asking where and how. I'm going to wait for most of it until I can play with it but some input can still be given as they have demoed to the public.

Does HBS ever host a location we can put question if we can't make it to the live stream?
I haven't seen a dedicated thread made by HBS since... I think they had one for the skill rework and there were a few before release. Some community members collect questions to ask. If you post a question here or in the Next Twitch Stream thread someone will probably try to ask it.

And the mech suffer the Gel effect ? In theory yes. Is bathed on it after all. One of the reasons in the novels mechwarriors don't like to carry inferno rounds.
Now that would make a lot of sense, a “Burning Gel” Effect would be most appropriate and give me something to shoot for in Custom Multiplayer if my opponent uses Infernos. : )

Thanks for the entertaining and informative stream. :)

Also, thanks to everyone who helped get the details into this thread so that I could read about it before I had time to watch it.

I didn't think I was gonna stay in character the whole stream. From this thread, it doesn't sound like it was too distracting. Next week is back to "normal".
I’m mostly surprised you kept the sweater and jacket both on.

Well, I’m even more surprised that the “tea” made it to the end of the stream without a refill.

Q: Will the base game mechs get the custom systems like the new mechs?
A: No (maybe in mods, concerns about existing save games etc. make this unattractive to HBS)

Realy? this doesn´t get my hop up for future support of the game. When a develepor doesn´t rework some old mechanics of a game to keep them in line with the new stuff worries me about of the future offical support of the game.

This sounds like someone with zero experience with supporting backwards compatibility. I’d like to have custom systems on old mechs, but I also understand that the cost of that in terms of testing is quite large.

This is just a gnarly problem even apart from the time cost - I mean, there WILL be people with mid-combat saves, saves from older versions, modded saves, etc etc. You would need an iron-clad update process for existing saves or the backlash would cost you way more than any goodwill you'd get from actually attempting to do it.

This is why I hope these are things that will be added to a new version of the game and not a DLC. HBS has learned a lot and seen what the community wants. I can understand why they don't want to do this for the DLCs but a BT2 sure these are things I would expect to see.

That's why I said "in my campaign" they'll be available ;D just a little editing to do.

But I wouldn't actually expect LBX and UAC to be restricted to this spefic flashpoint. The Bullshark uses lighter (clan? whatever. superior) versions of the LBX and UAC, normal ones might be available on shops(rare) or as other flashpoints randomloot.

You can't find the weapons in store as is aside the extremely rare double heat sink and the rare SLDF highlander. So no without editing likely will not find even the standard SLDF UAC 5 and lbx 10 in stores. Pretty sure like previous SLDF stuff will be locked to flashpoint rewards. They are making DHS easier to find but doubtful about the weapons.

Maybe, maybe not....

In the last stream they pointed out coils will be in stores to make it better for the game play experience vs you being the only group that should really have them. We may see the other weapons also in store following that same idea.

I think the coil are more in line with being current tech, based on jury rigging a laser to overload it. Likely some kind of jury rigged pirate weapon.

As I recall, Mitch mentioned the new weapons would be available in the Skirmish Store. (And unlike Heat Sinks and other of the original SLDF items which are unavailable as stand-alone items in the Skirmish Store.)

Though I agree with you, I do not expect to find HEAVY METAL’s 8 New Weapons in the Career and Campaign Stores.

Yeah I think only coil will make it in stores. As a weapon it feels more like someone jury rigged the standard lasers to overcharge them. So Coil does feel like the only one that would make sense in career sort of, at least being more common.
