I am looking for any compilation of time-saving tips to make playing the game easier and less time consuming. I am not talking about strategies for game play, but on interface tips. Examples I have adopted/discovered:
Put game speed on 4 and pause for units arriving to destination .
Balancing 2 stacks in nearby provinces:
Split stack A , send half to stack B while you split B and send half to A ( faster than merge and split out)
Carpet Sieging:
Split army . Rubber band the 2 armies. Split both again . Rubber band the 4 armies. Split again . Rubber band 8. Keep all selected, send them all to province one. Close top army from selection ( second x from top), send remaining 7 to province two. Close top army from selection. Send remaining 6 to province 3 etc.
Detaching one regiment :
press b-b-c
Reassigning a general: when reassigning a general, the confirm dialog box does not tell you where he is currently commanding and you cannot know if he is commanding a stack that is safely back home, or on the front lines. I now look in the outliner for a stack with a leader that is neither moving nor sieging , and hover over that one to get location. Then click on stack , put it on no leader , then go back to initial stack and assign the now free general. I am sure this can be done better (press F1- comma for military and clikcing on generals to get their locations is slower I think) .
Anyone know of a list of similar tips? Can you share your own?
