Looking for someone to advise me, and play Grand Campaign Mod with

So here's the lowdown, I am playing as Portugal in the Grand Campaign mod and right now I'm in 1935. Despite my best efforts it is becoming increasingly clear that I won't be able to take on Brazil or the UK without some serious help. I need some people to help me start an alliance and crush the US and the UK. You can be anybody, but I would prefer if you picked new world nations. The only countries you shouldn't be are the US, UK, and Brazil. Here are some recommendations,
Canada (pros: Just left the allies, cons: Not a Dictatorship yet)
Mexico (pros: Not part of the allies, cons: Liberal democracy)
Venezuela (pros: Very friendly towards Portugal, Dictatorship, cons: small)
Peru: (pros: Warm relations with Portugal, Dictatorship, cons: small)
Argentina: (pros: right wing, cons: pacifist)
Australia: (pros: right wing, very friendly with Portugal, cons: unstable and isolated)
South Africa: (pros: Just left allies, very friendly with Portugal, cons: small navy)
All in all though, I'll take any help I can get! I've tried to modernize and militarize to the best of my ability but the enemy, particularly the British, are just too strong. I have 6 battleships to their 76.

Anyway, I don't have much to add, but others will surely suggest to build Navs and use them to decimate your enemy's fleet. I hate Navs and never build/use them in my games. I do think you should have embarked on Carrier building program in the late '20s or early '30s instead of building BBs but I don't know what your IC is. It must be pretty good since you were able to build 6 BBs, but unfortunately, your BBs will not fair well against the Royal Navy.

Have you considered intervening in the Spanish Civil War and allying with one side or annexing Spain outright? The downside to that is you'll have a larger coastline to protect.

I am planning to intervene in the Spanish Civil War to annex their colonies, Galicia and some of the other western Spanish provinces. Shortly after that I plan to puppet the rest of Spain. My IC is in the 60s I believe. I'm pretty sure its about as high as I can go at the moment. It really doesn't surprise me that the Brits have so many battleships, after WW1 they full annexed the Ottoman Empire! As for carriers, I do have one and a second is on the way. As to why I am angry at the US, Uk, and Brazil...mainly because Brazil is a former Portuguese colony and so therefore they should be part of my empire once again, I am mad at the US because they will intervene if I try to do this, and I am mad at the UK because they hold British Rhodesia, which I need in order to link my colonies of Angola and Mozambique together. You can see my predicament. I need a strong ally to help me crush these fools. I'll even accept France if they're willing to help!

Yeah, you're going to be desperate for friends. Maybe you can ally with Japan so the IJN can provide you with some cover while you try to reclaim Brazil and whatever madness you have in mind with Africa.

The Great Depression hit hard in 1929 and 1930 but I think my arms and industrial buildup kind of stifled it after that.

On February 3rd, 1937, at 6 AM the Portuguese government presented a list of demands to the Nationalist Faction of the Spanish Civil War. These demands included the cession of numerous territories which border the Portuguese Fatherland. The Spanish Nationalist government immediately rejected these proposals and as a result, the Portuguese government was forced to declare war on Nationalist Spain in order to liberate these territories from the oppressive Francoist regime. At 8 AM that same morning Portuguese tactical bombers and fighters began a bombing campaign across the border provinces along with a ground offensive eastward by 8 divisions of the Portuguese Army.

Meanwhile, in Republican Spain, at 9 PM that evening a coup was announced, by members of the Spanish National Salvation Committee. They announced the formation of a new National Socialist government which would lead the Spanish Republic. The following morning at 7 AM the government of the Spanish Social Republic presented the National Socialist government of Portugal with a proposal, they would cede all disputed provinces to the Portuguese and sign an alliance against the Fascist forces of Nationalist Spain. Following a glorious victory by Portuguese forces in their first battle against the Nationalists, the Dictator of the Portuguese Fatherland is considering whether or not this alliance is truly necessary.

Well, my forces fought bravely for 4 months before they were forced to go on the defensive as the Spanish Republican forces melted away. I think allying Republican Spain was a mistake, as soon as I did they joined my war and tanked my warscore to -30. I think for my second attempt I will avoid allying them and instead try to rope one of the majors into the war on my side. Perhaps Germany...

After restarting from before the war started I have an update! This time I decided to sign onto the Axis and use them to give me a swift victory over Spain and then leave the alliance before WW2 started. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned. I went to war with Nationalist Spain and Germany and Italy joined as expected, then only 3 days later all hell broke loose. The western allies declared war on the Axis and WW2 began, in 1937. I immediately panicked and sent my fleet out to try and scout for enemies. In my stupidity I ran right into a British Fleet and lost my aircraft carrier, all of my battleships, and most of my cruisers and destroyers. Thankfully I sank six of their battleships in the process so at least it wasn't a complete waste. As a result of this failure my colonies around the world were quickly lost to enemy troops. However, fortunately the Germans were able to crush France and the low countries and push into Spain just as my forces were beginning to run out of steam in the fall of 1937. They crushed the Spanish Nationalists and then declared war on the Republicans as well. Spain was defeated and I annexed western Spain, Spanish Morocco, the Canaries, and Equatorial Guinea while turning what was left of Spain into a puppet state. Four months later in April of 1938 the USSR declared war on Poland and Poland joined the Axis in response. The Axis is now at war with the USSR. Right now I'm working on rebuilding my shattered navy and air force so that I can invade Africa in 1939 to get my colonies back. Meanwhile I will leave the USSR to Germany, Poland, and Italy.

I am at present debating whether or not to order a full mobilization. I don't plan on doing much to aid my allies until the fall, when my two new battlecruisers will be finished.

Well, very good news! The year is 1946 and the USSR has been divided in half by Japan and Germany, the UK has ceased to exist and been replaced by England, a German puppet state, China has fallen and become a Japanese puppet state and India and Pakistan have become German puppet states. I've managed to take British Rhodesia and help the Axis kick the allies completely out of the Eastern Hemisphere. All that remains of the Allies now are the Americas. For the past 2 years Germany and the US have been nuking each other as well. I'm frantically building interceptors and researching nukes to hopefully defend myself against any nukes. I am also focusing my research on building a Landkreuzer to help me punch through Brazilian defenses once I begin the invasion.
