I am looking for some byzantine events that hand out new cores as you expand, similar to MKJ's old setup, where you could claim all of North Africa after defeating the Mamelukkes etc.

Only, I want something om a grander scale...restoration of the Empire at it's peak..yup, thats right, france, all of italy, england etc. Unhistorical? Yes. Fun? Oh hell yes.

So, does anyone know if such events were ever created? Thanks!

Start out by downloading AGCEEP, Byzantium has a nice sequence of events to get some cores (and other benefits). You may expand on that basis, following their examples. :)

Yes, I have already played Byzantium a few times using AGC, EEP, AGCEEP etc, but I was looking for something even grander, and even more absurd! :D

After checking the scenario forums, I found hald a dozen threads about nearly identical concepts, but unfortunatly 100% of them were half-arsed attempts that died out on page two early 2003....

The Byzantine empire in all its glory, from west to east!

This should be a very hard event to fire for the player since it would make the game a cake walk from that point on, unless thats what you want to do, rule the world with the Byz, for sh*ts and giggles.

There are events for Byzantium in the AGCEEP? I played Byzantium in the AGCEEP until about 1700 when I quit from boredom. Reclaimed my cores, plus some other provs, realised I'm lagging behind in all techs, went colonising a few provs, the usual, but saw no events beyond 1453. Apart from the event that allows you to switch back to Orthodoxy, that is.

There are two possibilities there: you didn't turn on fantasy events at the start of the game, or you stayed Catholic. Both of those will keep the Byzantine fantasy events from firing.
