Also, grabbed another screenshot of the overall galaxy map but zoomed in further. A nice expectation of the screen we can expect to see most, I wager. Can also confirm that the zooming in between system view and galactic view is sexily smooth.

I liked the gameplay video a lot, the graphics look way better than the screenshots posted so far.

The battle was cool as well, but I find it odd that 6 corvettes (298 power) wrecked a space amoeba (853 power) without losing a single ship. I don't know, maybe that's still being balanced and fine tuned.

That's the link to it. I thought it was quite large, so I didn't want to "spam" it inside this thread.

I like how they are not all just 'animal-like'. For example, the 1st and the 8th more captured "a creature with the essence of bird" and "the essense of a shellfish", if that makes sense?

Also, that duck is majestic as hell. Not pretty, but majestic as hell.

I'm glad I managed to see the whole video before it got taken down, I was going to watch it over and over again all evening and make a collage of all the alien races shown in the video. Oh well...

We do know that some ships/weapons are better versus different ship classes/sizes than others, it could be that the amoeba would have been much more effective against battleships than corvettes. It's hard to boil that down into a single universally-comparable number like "power".

I managed to see it all, and not really that much new info, except for graphical assets and actually seeing stuff in action. Fallen empires look a bit bigger than i expected however.

I guess that anomaly in Saturn is a reference to the IRL Saturn Polar Anomalies?

Well... I saw it. It was soooooo good.... If I wouldn't know otherwise I would say it is a complete game! Also... The music was magnificent - not like we didn't know that before.

the corvettes launched nuclear missiles that are potentially extremely deadly to biological space amoebas
meanwhile amoeba managed to only hit one shot at a corvette and missed all others

I LOVE the alien races, they are not only animals but some are more monstrous with only the "essence" of an animal in it. But i admit that, for now, i'm a bit dissapointed by the number of races, they have announced 100 of it and they seems to are pretty less.

We know there are six species.

In the video there were also three different sizes, slender, normal, and massive. Five different slender molluscoids were shown. The platypus like alien was named "Massive Mammalian 06". If we assume that each size has six variants, the total would be 108 different aliens. That's pretty good.

Edited: it's probably 108 rather than 90.
