Dynamic. If I remember correctly you can increase the number with technology.

So, in the end, who gonna weal with all those planetary-related events like sinkholes, aggressive flora (that need special tech to deal with, as said) and such in Administrative sectors? If it all will be in hands of local AI, it really'll kill all those quests and make them meaningless (not to mention that some AI decisions could simply make planet useless). But if we had to deal with each planet-related problem by ourselves, not only it make some people feel bad - like: "I invested so much into dealing with sinkhole, and got a couple of nice zones on the planet for a reward, but AI messed it up by placing wrong building", it actually going to spine into the same old micro as direct planetary management by mid-late game.
Well, it looks like Administrative sectors have less freedom than vassals in CK2 and at the same time they are much more important than vassals in CK2. Because if i recall correctly well-being of your vassals territory bring you some money and additional troops in case of war, but Administrative sectors will be probably a backbone for most Empires with Democracy and similar. So planetary event judging from given examples could affect planets very seriously and thereby affecting overall performance. And i don't think that 5-10 planet with related planetary event per game session is anywhere near fun, especially when those event seems like a one of the core features to keep a player occupied, on contrary with CK2, where demesne-related events were mostly like a cherry on a top of a cake. Because games are obviously about different things - you're more interested in things affecting your character and think about other things (like demesne and events related to it) only in context of how they affect your character, while in Stellaris, planets and anything planet-related is a core part of gameplay - it impossible to be successful without properly-developed planets. In all honesty it'll probably be like events in CK2. You don't get all of the events your AI vassals get, but you do get events for your demesne. This is a good thing, because you can experience these events but they take a lot longer for them to get old. I still haven't experienced all of the events in CK2 myself yet, and it's always a pleasure when a new one pops up.
Yeah, would be nice to see several Star Trek-esque aliens, even if they do look like humans with makeup on.I like the Portraits but i think they're a bit heavy on the animal side. I'd like to see a few portraits with human attributes. Like some Eldar kind of race.

I MEAN LOOK AT IT'S FACE! It is absolutely livid that you haven't filed your imperial space tax formula 15-B-§2.4 for this quarter yet!
I really like this one:

It's neither obviously anthropomorphic or human-like, but looks like some higher developed animal with the essence of 'bird'.

Is the eel part of the creature? Is the entire body just a husk to support it moving around!?
Is there some brain parasite thing going on?
The latter one is not a Human as much as a blobfish.Honestly... that is what pretty much every sci-fi has tried to force feed me since i was born, and i hate the "anthropocentric alien" trope with a passion.
And it's not like most of the aliens in Stellaris aren't "Anthropomorphic humanoids" 90% og them stand upright, have 2 arms, 2 legs, 1 head, and wear cloths.
My favorite of the new ones is definitely:
