The time has come for the elections to be decided. The leftists fought long and hard against Hitler and the NSDAP. But, only the votes can tell us who has won the elections.
But, before the election results could finally be announced German politics have taken a very unexpected turn. A coup, most likely led by President Otto Meissner, has made himself Chancellor, and several cabinet positions have been switched over to other (supposed) conspirators. Ergo, with the "March Coup" elections have been called off. Hitler's and his missing cabinet member's whereabouts are unknown. Most agree that they were killed.
Chancellor Otto Meissner.
The coup, like many others, is very unpopular with the people. Although, most do not take any actions. But, in Nuremberg and Munich pro-NSDAP rioters have filled the streets and occupied the cities.
Leaders of the Munich and Nuremberg riots in cuffs.
A riot leader surrendering to government forces after escaping Munich.
With the riots now ended, the new "March" government can now focus on advancing the technology of the nation. One of the more interesting areas they focused on was the development of rocket testing and development, with Messerschmitt being contracted to do the research.
Fittingly, once the Munich riots ended the battleship "Deutschland" had finished being constructed.
The government, fearing substantial revolts across Germany has invested funds into it's police force.
Along with that, in order to rebuild the nation, funding has also gone into education.
Even more reform has popped up, with funding going into the public health area.
Now with the nation under control, the new government has launched several diplomatic missions abroad to sustain new relations with the various nations of Europe and Asia.
The German government has taken a 2,000 credit loan in order to invest into various areas of the nation.
The entire loan has gone into a National Development Plan.
With dissent still high among the populace, tax reform has created a low national tax.
The government also took one of the most important steps into making a great nation; choosing a new flag.
With the success of the American New Deal, the government has switched from the harsh austerity measures taken before to a stimulus package.
The investment into the police force is a success.
Many Germans hope to win the Fifa World Cup.
The National Development Plan is a success.
The government has further invested into national infrastructure.
The German government has shook Europe. They have sent troops to enter the Rhineland. This is a monumental step for Germany, many patriots say this will show the European powers that once again, Germany is powerful.
The French are the most shaken by the news. They demand Germany to send back their troops, but Germany is not having it. They have been invigorated with nationalism, and will not back down.
The German people are joyous with the re-militarization of the Rhineland. Similar to the government, they have also been invigorated with nationalism.
German intelligence has failed to stop the Americans from stealing blueprints. It has been leaked to the public, and many joke that the nation has gotten so great that now the U.S. needs to feed off of them.
The investment in infrastructure has given out favorable results.
Another ship, this time the Nürnberg, can be deployed.
Germany and Nationalist China have created a friendship between the two nations, but to the dismay of Japan.
A bank run has occurred nationally in Germany. This is very worrying for the German government and people.
The German government has decided to adopt an unconventional monetary policy in order to boost back up the economy.
The German people might absolutely hate it, but the German government has decided to completely pay back their war reparations. Ever since the re-militarization of the Rhineland many Germans have thought their nation has an unstoppable beast, but in fact, the nation isn't. The economy is still horrid and there's now manpower to build more troops. It's only by agreeing to the harsh actions of the Allies the German people might once again live in a Superpower.
