Yes, it was Spain that was unable to play. Of course, we could try and rearrange for either Mon or Thur instead next week, if everyone else can make those dates (any other day isn't suitable for me).
Well if someone had wanted to join the campaign we should have heard from them by now, so i don't think we can get a player for Venice.

I can remember some incident similar to the one CG describes but I am not sure wether Nabu or you were involved and it must have been at least one year ago probably even more.
It was on HOG's last known game, in War of the Pigmies. I remember subbing Colonel_General's Portugal after it had been ruined by a previous sub. I did not even know Colonel_General back in the day and never had a conversation with him.
I remember i managed to salvage Portugal from the mess that the previous sub had left it, and that Colonel_General gave me his thanks (i increased the economy from 900 yearly ducats to more than 3000 yearly ducats IIRC with less than 3% inflation).
That game also had a chronic problem of players - Drake left, HOG left, Martmol left, and some other players also left, i believe. The GM - i believe it was Barca, after HOG left the game, must have gotten Nabu to play England, but Nabu refused to play England because he said i had been playing it and as such i must have ruined the nation both economically and diplomatically, along with other crap i cannot be bothered to remember.
Curiously, England had been played by Therion after Drake's departure, and i never ever subbed it, but obviously EGO must be blamed for nations he does not play in games he does not play (i did sub CG once but i was never officially playing in that game)! :rofl:

Are you able to sub Spain and if so, please contact the Spanish player for instructions as they are vassels of France.
I am available for subbing this coming Wednesday, but unlikely the next. Sorelus told me you could need someone to play Venice. Don't expect me to become a perm on Wednesdays though, as this week's schedule is extraordinary for me.
