Marry her off to France, tell them to ask for Tartuffe. It is hilarious, but not technically impossible or, at the time, even all that improbable.
Sounds like a young Queen Margot to me. Everyone knew she was sterile and so didn't want to marry her (except Henri II of Navarre, because Queen Regent Catherine of Medicis asked his mother politely by sending her poisoned gloves), but she was one who - let's say - enjoyed the company of men.
And I would imagine men enjoyed the company of HER too without worry of siring a bassturd.

The issue wth Margot was that she was "soiled" by an affair with the Duc De Guise pr marriage. There were plenty of rumors in later years that she had produced bastards with her lovers.
Not necessarily. Celibate just means she's sworn not to have sex. She could still be gagging for it.
Well celibate doesn't necceserily mean that she doesn't want to have sex, just that she doesn't actually do it! Perhaps she heard St Augustine's prayer: "Oh, Master, make me chaste and celibate" but missed his subsequent qualification, "but not yet!" Bet she has one hell of a temper on her...
Being serious, this probably shouldn't happen. Chaste is the opposite of lustful I suppose, and they replace each other when you acquire the other one. Celibate and lustful should probably do the same.
Maybe she tries to argue that doing certain things doesn't count as sex?

Also, think of an alcoholic who swore to never again touch a bottle. For a more common and downtoearth example of a lusty celibate, think: every teenage boy who cant find a girlfriend.

Also, Lustful isn't an exclusively sexual deadly sin. Any compulsion that makes you desire to do something and lose your self-restraint like alcoholism or drug addiction, would enter under Lust.
But I agree that by definition, becoming Celibate should have a condition that the character doesn't have the trait Lustful.

I actually think that's a terrific combination, because it gets the imagination going. Also, it's not a paradox, you can be lustful and for some reason have sworn to not have sex. While this is bound to cause some serious internal conflict in that character, I don't think it's as far off, as you may think at first glance. Also consider that group pressure, especially from family members, was more powerful back then, then it is now. A lustful person could be pressured into abstaining from sin and might consider his/her lust of the Devil. I don't see this as unrealistic at all, quite the contrary. It tells an interesting story.
Nice combo, haven't seen that one myself, but I *have* been having fun imagining what exactly is going in the heads of my content-but-envious characters...

A great example in real life is Lawrence of Arabia. He fought his sexual urges his entire life, (possibly due to bi-sexual tendencies) but remained celibate.
