Login into account with instant logout / no multiplayer

Dear Support and Community,

I did like to play multiplayer with imperator rome but after starting the game with steam and log into my account I get no error message but the multiplayer button is greyed out. The launcher is connected to my account and logged in. When clicking on my account profile in-game I get an instant logout.

I have no issues with other paradox games on that engine and tried to reinstall with clean delete of all local files.

Does anyone have any ideas or can support me on that matter?

It doesn't look like you have CK3, because that has the same issue and uses the same MP service as this game.

However since the recent 2.0.3 patch this game has been much better in that regard. You are on that version?

Hey Andrew,

thanks for the reply. No, I don't have CK3 yet. It is working now for some strange reason for the first time and I could enter the multiplayer lobby. I'm running 2.0.3. I still get that 'no connection' notification in the launcher. I can rule the firewall out. I guess this thread can be achieved now as my issue is solved.
