Lately I've acquired a lot of money, while my monarch points still are quite low. Therefor I might as well invest them in some of my neighbors that seems to be struggling with their economy. I'm even fair and offered them a lowered rent, but still it's always "no". I have yet to find any reasons, atleast they they used to tell you when they didn't need a loan.
On the same note, there needs to be consequences for paying back a loan. As it is now, you only get a casus belli, with all money lost. Perhaps if the one failing to pay would lose:
25 prestige
Lowered diplomatic reputation
Your allies will be reluctant to help you if the loan giver decides to gain retribution through war
However, since there's consequences for not paying there should also be ways to avoid them.
AI and players alike should be able to extend the loan if the permission is given by the loan giver.
The loan will continue for another period - meaning that if you gave them 25 months to pay, they will get 25 months more.
Weather or not that the interest will be higher, lower or the same is for the creditor to decide (with some limits ofc).
As a side note: Put sliders in the "loan window". It is very annoying to click on those small arrows
Also let me prolong the loan for more than only 25 month. Why can't I let it run for 6 years to make a long term investment, and also allow the laon taker to pay back. 25 months to pay back 250 is a short note for most small to middle nations.
Also allow me to ask for loans if I need it. Atleast I can't go bankrupt when taking loans from other nations
