Loading screen just gets stuck on loading savegame100%

Hey just bought the deluxe addition and the Greece DLC off steam. Game launches fine its faster then eu4. Which is mad. However every time I go to start the tutorial or launch a new game, it gets as far as loading save game 100%

It's not that the whole screen has frozen or it crashes. Task manager says it's still running fine, music's still playing. It just won't progress any further.

Ive got windows 10. Ive done the antivirus exemption thing. My computer's not heating up like it normally does if I push it to hard.

It's not a bad laptop. But it's nothing special either. It's been sitting there not changing for the last hour so it's not my patience either.

Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling too. If anyone has a clue, any help would be appreciated cheers.

It's definitely not frozen left it loading while I went into town for supplies and the screens changed as has the historical quote. Still loading save game 100% though.

What antivirus app do you use? Add imperator.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.

Thanks. I have avast. Tried this, it didn't fix it. But figuring out how to do this led to me reinstalling a corrupted graphics driver I found. Which seems to have done it.
