Loading bug!

I'm playing the Age of exploration right now as England. Im in the yerar 1798 (I think, dont quite remember). But now something very strange happend. I start the game, i press the "Single player" button, and then I press my savegame... and now: the game craches! Right back to windows. So i tried the autosaves... same thing.

Have anyone of you experianced this? How can I solve it?

In the savegame file delete all the country tags except for ENG in the playable countries list. (which is about 3/4 down on the first page)

help!!!!!!--i just had the same problem this weekend as russia around 1560 in the gc and mine won't even let me play a new game---when i load the new game, the game starts but freezes on 1/1/1419!--i read your solution with interest but don't know how to find or open the save game file--in other words, "damnit jim, i'm not a techie"

as a rule of thumb... if your post has the words "problem", "error", or "bug" in it... its a good idea to go straight to the BF.

i see 1.04 is out--if i download 1.04, will my game return to functioning properly? i presently have 1.03?

1.04 will not uncorrupt saved games, but will not corrupt any new saves. To fix your saved games read the detailed instructions in the BUG forum in the CTD Saved Games threads.
