Hi I create a a compatible patch for 2 mods. but I don't understand exactly mods load order and file load order in stellaris.
Pls tell me, how I should named mod and files in this mod to overwrites files from this 2 mods.
I copy files from this 2 mods which are not compatible and change some values. Now I have 7 files, 1 form first mod and 6 form second one. I don't change original names of this files. I have on idea how I should start name of this mod (A_mod_name or Z_mod_name) and the same I don't know is my files names should be start (A_file_name or Z_file_name) to overwrites original files form mods.
Now I don't know what to do. I want to create a compatible patch and publish it on steam for other people.

Pls help me.
Best NiKuTa

In CK2 there is the tag

dependencies = { "Another Mod" }

it tells the launcher that "another mod" has to be enabled. The "another mod" will be loaded first.

I don't know if it works in Stellaris

In a given directory, it's possible that a file named "00_something" is loaded before another named "ZZ_something".
I say "possible" because when you read a directory content (in c/c++/whatever language) , you are by no way assured that the file names appears in alphabetical orders, and I don't know if the Dev's sort the files before reading the content.
Moreover, in most cases the names of the files have no importance, just the directory where they are really matter.

But you are writing new mod which (partially) overwrites two existing mods, so you have to be sure that your whole mod is loaded after the others. (you for sure will have warnings about redefine of variables or something similar) .
As I told you this can be done in other Pdox games , I've no experience for (or against) this behaviour in stellaris.
