Great livestream. My thoughts:
1. Some other members have criticised the inclusion of existing high-ways onto new maps. I actually like this feature. The hardest part of starting a new city in SC4 was zoning the first areas, because I knew that after a while it would either be too prohibitive or I'd have to rezone that entire area.
2. The water-pumping stations and sewage system is awesome, as is the little pollution effect that occurs when sewage is dumped. I can't believe that we're still several months to a year away from release, and you've already got little details like water pollution sorted. By the way, is sewage outflow the only option to deal with sewage? Are there other cleaner ways to handle the problem when cities get bigger?
3. Roads. Look. Awesome. The amount of versatility in options could actually become quite annoying, because I will be conflicted as to which type of street I want to build. Just watching the stream, there appears to be quite a few different types of road "densities" or "capacities". How many exactly are there, and will they have an actual limit before congestion occurs?
4. Clinics and health. Looking pretty good, but might need to buff the range IMO. Looking at the video, when you guys plopped the clinic down into a town of ~800 people, it only gave 'green' coverage to 30% of the town. I'm not an expert on the subject, but I reckon a single medical centre like that would be able to deal with a town that small (which would probably have very few health issues if there wasn't a coal power plant plopped in the middle of a cul-de-sac

)
5. Power looks functional. All I will recommend is a nerf to wind power. Looks too OP for the early game, when most city-builders (such as SC4) force the mayor to start dirty (coal, oil) and develop or research cleaner technologies which can sufficiently replace the energy production of non-renewables. Wind, in real life and in most city builders, is incredibly inefficient in terms of construction cost (and upkeep) versus coal in terms of energy production.
6. Buying more land: awesome.
7. Just wondering, how bad does C:SL perform on middle-range PCs? Will bigger cities begin to lag badly? I have a HP laptop with Core i7 and NVIDIA GEFORCE which can run most games fairly well, just hoping that it can do okay with your game when I get into the latter stages of city construction.
8. One more month before another sneak preview? Awww. (you can fly me to Norway and I can do more for you, if you want)
9. Hopefully we can see some more simulation of bigger cities, plus also an overview of the education, healthcare, government, fire and police systems, in the next playthrough. I know you guys probably don't wanna reveal too much before release, but I think I speak for all city builder gamers out there when I say that I really want to know everything about this game before I purchase. I've been burnt (twice!) by EA/Maxis before.
10. A better look at the public transport options. Rail and the bus network to be specific (btw loooooove the bus stops that were seen in the last dev diary).
Thanks
