Now can you help me out a bit.. First thing to ask - is there a complete map mod? And what other mods are essential to enhance the experience?
And maybe some reference for the basic guidelines of the game to refresh my memory
Thanks!
Very hard. Only two map mods have been released (WATK and MyMap, and WATKABAOI, which is an update to WATK); the AGCEEP map has been in progress for several years.Riddermark said:How hard is it to edit the map?
Riddermark said:Thanks for the replies guysI'll have a look at these mods, I have forgotten that Eu2 has a tutorial.
I've been playing CK for years now.. So any chance to see a CK map for EU2?Or is ti possible to be done?
How hard is it to edit the map?
Or be surprised.galuska said:But be advised that if you play a country what was on downhill in the EU2 period, you MUST read the event files. Otherwise you will be reduced in size be events, which is NOT fun.
(typical examples are Hungary, Timurids, Golden Horde... With countries like this, you must plan your game before it starts!)
Well, there is "proof". AGCEEP and Interregnum got their own subforums. AGCEEP's one got over 120.000 posts in it. That's half of the total amount of posts in the whole "Scenarios and mods"-forum. Also, I think Yoda keeps some statistic of how many downloads there are from the website. Oh, and just having a website dedicated to the mod also shines above other ones.BurningEGO said:(mmhh, after that little speech with MattyG i am tempted to ask you guys for "genuine research" to prove that AGCEEP is the "premier mod" around, heh)

Now, now, I said "proof", not proof. The quotation marks does some difference after all. In lack of a more appropriate word at the time, they were added, and I am sure that you, as well as me, being non-native English speakers, quite understand the need for such details.BurningEGO said:Lol, so you consider spam actually a proof? I dont.
I never did say any mod was better than the other. I said it was "popular" and "big", but never put any value in it. And your parallel works for this case, as EU3 indeed is both more popular and bigger than EU2. I also said that it "shines above all others", and I stand for that. If you ask 100 persons to name an EU2 mod, I wouldn't be surprised to have AGCEEP being mentioned most of the time, even if the 100 were as educated as you and me in the diversity of EU2 mods.(and what is not spam, just shows that: the mod is not finished, needs improvement or that it is buggy). It is just like saying EU3 is better then EU2 because it got a bigger post ratio (EU3 is relatively new and already got half EU2's posts, notably with outright spam everywhere).
Indeed. I used the same term with the same intention.YodaMaster said:And I say downloads, not players. I don't know what people do after downloading.
BurningEGO said:If you want a real challenge, and a real AI (no matter how good the other mods are, their AI is always too dumb), try Europe Portugalis.
We had proof that some events that were designed for players and AI were in fact interesting only for AI and modified them accordingly.BurningEGO said:Even AGCEEP gave "AI event goodies" to Spain for colonization purposes... didnt it?
