I am trying to find out if there's any site with information about Little Ireland (the slums district in the XIXth century Manchester, mind)...or the East End, the Glasgow/Edinbrough "wynds"...or any of those barely believable XIXth century working class districts. The fact is that I can't find any. Perhaps it's a very disgusting issue, even for the Internet, but can any other forummer give me a little hand? Thanks in advance :)

Thanks! I knew about Google, but I guess I have much to learn about its searching criteria ;)

The question about Jorge Costa will be his motivation. Jorge Costa was sort of "pushed off" Porto, where he had been a regular since his tenderest years. Still, he's a model professional and, even if I must say I doubt he'll play for Charlton as he would for Porto, I believe he will make a great centreback duo with Mark Fish or Luke Young. And have in mind that J. Costa wants to be in WC2002 badly!

And IMHO on his day Jorge Costa can be even more imposing than Jaap Stam: as strong as anybody in the air, good strategic vision, awesome as a tackler. There began to be some doubts about his pace, but he has good positional sense. Besides, I think these doubts were more of an excuse to offload him :p

Cheers mate- can't wait to see "The Tank" on Saturday. Incidentally - we could easily end up with a back three of Fish-Costa-Fortune :D

Back to the history (before we raise the ire of Dark Knight;) ). If you are interested in the condition of the British working classes during the industrial age generally, huge amounts have been written. As you probably know, Charles Dickens has written novels about them, but contemporary factual sources are as diverse as Engels and Joseph Rowntree.

J. Costa is a fighter, and i still would want him in my club FC Porto as he was very handy in defense.
Now i hope he will give his best at Charlton as every FCP player is a beloved son of the club.
Once i talked to him as he lives 2 miles from my house, he is about 1,86 and 87 kg , calm outside the stadium and a good talker. We shared the same beach, near his house.
Now i'm also a Charlton supporter :)

Thank you Emperor:)
I would like to go to London some day, and watch some football games.
If you ever come here you PM and we get a meeting point, Oporto is a nice town.
I hope Dark Knight understands this OT posts in a historical thread..:D
