Hello all. I'm playing as Italy (my first game as a major). I attacked and annexed rep Spain and am now involved in War fith France and Uk (with Germany as an ally). I'm trying to land 5 divisions on Frances southern border as there ar no defenders. France has a small navy defending her southern border, so I sent a superoir naval force to shoo them away, which they did. Problem is, when I order my transports to start an amphibious attack, they wont do it. A naval battle occurs, which I win, but no enemy ships get sunk, and my transports go back to their home port and unload my troops. Can anyone help me here? My transports are in their own fleet, could that be the problem?

Check the org and strength levels of the transports and how that compares to the minimum levels you set when assigning the mission. It sounds like the transports' org or strength is below what you set as a minimum, causing them to turn around before unloading the troops.

You could also just set them to unload troops and then move them onto the province.
