Hello, this will be aar about my homeland Lithuania.
As you see - i will try not to end up annexed in 1940 06.
Objectives:
Most important objective - survive at any cost.
Secondary objective - expand a bit; retake former capital city Vilnius, from polish hands.
Utopian objective - become semi-major power in the Europe, maybe even in the world .
Settings:
Hoi2 Doomsday.
Year - 1936.
AI - aggressive.
Difficulty - normal.
Version - 1.3a+DAIM

Well, I don't really care as long as Finland isn't attacked, so bad luck for you, I think. I don't know about author though...

Status:
Lush lands of Lithuania are consisted of 4 regions:Siauliau (in Lithuanian - Siauliai), Alytus, Memal (Klaipeda) and capital city Kaunas.

Ofcourse, we can't forget that this great nation is carved up by Poland: historical capital Wilno (Vilnius) and Grodno (Gardinas) are in polish hands. One of the most important objectives are to retake these great lands.

Kaunas, presidential palace.

After looking at these statistics president Antanas Smetona

invited Chief of Staff

and Chief of the Army

to explain about so poor condition of the Army. After several minutes both ministers were warned to pay more attention to the army. Immediatly order to research much more modern infintry equipment was made. Sadly, after examing technicians, which Lithuania has, disturbing news arrived - Lithuania has no scientists, who specialise in Artillery.

Order to develop 36' model infintry was given for company called "ANBO".

Soon after that president Smetona made a rousing speech:
" - Lithuania is surrounded by variuos neighbours, who gladly would erase our great nation from the map. In the East and in the West are dictorship tyrranys, who pose real threat to our nation! Domacratic nations are too far and too cowardly to make important moves to protect newly created nations in East and middle Europe. So our only choise is to arm and protect ourselfs. In order, that no oposition would arise in other regions, i decided to appoint Memel', Alytus', Siauliau', Kaunas' governors by myself, there will be no elections in those regions in order to ensure order and stability in our great motherland."
In short - 1 move to dictatorship .

Immediatly after this speech President Antanas Smetona secretly ordered to build 5 transports. Expand Lithuania's navy from 1 to 6 transports.

On January 2nd Antanas Smetona made another speech:
" - We are surrounded by various friendly and not so friendly neighbours, so we must make a formidable alliance, to prevent any future aggressors from atacking us. Our great nation should take most of the expances in order to protect our people, our economy, our peace and of course, our great Baltic neighbours - Latvia and Estonia!!! Don't forget that with the expances we will gain respect in diplomacy arena and every hostility will think twice before atacking us."
Same day lot's of trade deals were made in order to get money for so essential diplomatic actions. Knowing, that relations with every nation should be as good as possible, trade deals were made all over the world.

On January 20th, Lithuania's foreign minister, Stasys Lazoraitis

met with Estonia-Latvia's alliance leaders. After some discusions Antanas Smetona himself apeared in the confference. Main problem was, that Estonia won't give her positions from alliance away.

Estonia wants to remain leader in this alliance, nevermind its lowest IC output. After unsuccessful negotiations Antanas Smetona drasticly canceled non-agression pact with Estonia - leader of Baltic Entante,

fleet with 1 division was dispatched to Gulf of Riga, in order to push Latvia to Lithuania's side. Lithuania's president insisted, that Latvia backup Lithuania's plan, for the goodness of Baltic people.
No results, Baltic Entante remained stubborn and refused to back down for Lithuania.
Sudenly King George V died. All baltic states sent their emmissaries to burial and expressed sympathy for the people of United Kingdom.
In this burial depate still raged on and Lithuania insisited to be superior in the alliance. These debates again were fruitless.
In January 27th chances to join alliance even lowered.

Knowing that Lithuania won't be able to fight full front war with Baltic Entante, plan was made to invade capital cities and put bot Baltic state's goverments into subminssion.
Lithuania waged war on the leader of Baltic Entante - Estonia.
