That guy is nuts.

The intro is smart. Hitler is not supposed to be just another leader like the others. If they did that there would be more complaining i think.

In Europe Hitler if considered to be über-evil. I guess Hirohito would have the same role if Paradox was a Korean company.

Im sure it was not intended to be like that fool thinks. Even thou i like that statement they would have made then. But thats a flamewar-starter.. So im not going there :)

before you guys start attacking or defending the guy who originally said this, make sure you see the intro.... i've seen it a couple of times, and I seriously never noticed that Hitler's face is over top the American flag. Obviously, this is a WW2 sim, and Hitler is *not* in charge of the US, right? This is an interpolation of images, meant for dramatic effect.

And as for whether this is Paradox's fault because this is a "European software house making a political statement"... good grief. This guy needs to get out of his house once in a while. Fresh air is GOOD for you :)

(Besides, wasn't most of the intro in black and white anyway? not like it was terribly noticeable)

Well, it has started a minor flame war on the war-historical group. When someone asked him what the political statement would be, he answered:

"Hmmmm....
I dunno?

Maybe that the US is an extremist right wing nation bent on world domination?"

With those two posts of mine gone I feel as though a small part of me is missing in a way. :(

I think they show Hitler over the US flag simply because they weren't about to show the Nazi flag, and needed to show SOMETHING behind him, besides a rock or a tank or something. :p

Yep, but obviously not everyone in the "land of the free and the home of the political correct" understands this. But I really hope these guys are a tiny minority...

Well, if he hasn't visited here to understand why the Nazi symbol and some other related things weren't included, he wouldn't know, so he'd probably be searching for an explanation.

Though he did go a bit off the deep end. :p

Someone tried to tell him that the Nazi symbols are banned. But he seems to believe that most europeans are just aching to cross the atlantic, take away his firearms and eat his children for lunch.

A bit strange that paradox didn't put in the "ersatz" german flag though... ;)

ok guys,
what kind of nation is a nation that thinks to have the right to bombing all the world, takes unilateral decisions and utilises UN like his personl secretary and uses the theory of preventive war? In the name of freedom? but which freedom? his freedom perhaps, freedom to dominate all the world. NOT in my name....
