Third Party Tools

This will be the list of the third party tools.

I will start out with linking to the two converters for province.csv and country.csv of EU2 to FtG format.

I have some problems with country.exe. Province exe work good, but when I trying to convert country.csv, program creating (I never wait until he finish, but notice size ~200mb) huge file called countries.txt. Program return info, that found Mercenaries, Rebels, MUS (special countries I think) but nothing more. Maybe problem is in polish fonts? Any idea?

I'd suggest to make a separate thread for the converters and leave this one as a list.

At start - sorry for my english

I created Random Monarchs Generator for FtG in Microsoft Excel (2003). This is useful tool when you want to create large set of files of random monarchs - like me (I need about 450 monarch's files to my mod).

It create data of 50 monarchs with successive numbers of id, random stats (from 2 to 9 range), random lenght of reign, random names (12 from 120), and with auto regnal numbering.

Way of use: copy created random data from excel, delete all tabulators in any word processor, and paste it to target monarchs_tag.txt file.

You can download it from http://www.filefront.com/15317925/random monarchs generator for FTG.rar

And of course you can create your's own generator for your's needs on the my generator basis.

I should maybe have mentioned this before, but if any Java programmer wants to make a tool of any sort, the EugFile library in my sig might prove very helpful. I used it to build quite a number of tools for other Paradox games.

hi guys and girls, i have a question, ¿there is some tool for making events?, i am new to For the Glory but anyway i am interesting in making my own events

The easiest way to make an event is to look for an existing event that does something similar to what you want and use it as a template for your own idea.
While outdated in some points Havards bible from EU2 is still helpful to understand event scripting:

Could you or someone else able to edit, edit post 1 in this thread so that the first post contains the correct link here in the FtG forum instead of a link to a thread in the EU2 forum that contains a broken link?

And could someone edit post 1 and 141 of that thread in the EU2 forum too and change the broken version of the link with the one you provided?
https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/magellan-1-0.245459/

And someone would need to change the link in the EU2 wiki tools list too, as I can’t edit the list despite being signed in to the WIKI

http://inferis.org/eu2/magellan/ - currently don't work

Luckily Magellan is still here:

Shoulod the validator be added to the tools list, too?
