I'm quite sure that at least some of the old Svea Rike provinces will be re-used for Scandinavia.

Skane is split into several provinces, if I'm not mistaken. I never played the game, but looked at the maps on Paradox' pages.
It should give a rough estimate of the province sizes.

though i think i shall miss the political map mode. Hopefully something of an equal nature will be in CK. I always loved to click on political map and see my country's beautiful color light up europe.

A few. But the lakes are nicer. Plenty of lakes and rivers in most of Scandinavia. Along with forests. Lots of forests. And mountains.
It should be interesting to see what features the CK map has. EU2 was far more large scale and could only have major rivers and lakes.
But CK covers a smaller area but could in theory use the same scale of map.

How is the issue of different provinces going to be handled in the conversion between CK and EU2?
I believe sergei(?) said that in the conversion process they would try to make your Ck map into a reasonable likeness on a EU2 map but the provinces would not be exact..
I hope they will fix all that funy strange errors on EU 1/2 map.
Like, strange location of some provinces, wrongly named etc.
(Like "Krain" and "Istria"province in EU 1/2)
But if there will be like, from 1 EU 1/2 province = 2 CK provinces, that will be so cool

It is not our policy to dump design information or databases on our open forums. These days properties have to be protected safely until release. In the long run it will ensure you a better game.
We though often inform of game features etc.
What can I say it is a large map, very large indeed. I especially get exited when I see the Middle East, but of course every area of the map is intruiging. Don't worry about Krain/Istria.

I fear more about Iberia zone were in this era were lots of crusades, hope they didn't forget at the time of making map

All we know about this that's been said public is from the SGO preview: "The map is limited to Europe, stretching roughly to the Urals in the east and including parts of Persia and the Arabian Peninsula as well as the coast of North Africa."
