This can only bode well.
I dont know who many of you ever played Choose your adventure books which were popular in the 80s, 90s.. But the basis was that you started, and you get a couple of options for example if you do this go to number 254 in the book.
But it's kinda used in King Arthur alot for personal knight quests
Well, in King Arthur, on the third main mission you get an option to go into the woods to save a woman and kill the "faeries", the problem is that these fairies basically end game troops you can get if you go the old faith. And here you come with your rather inexperienced troops vs rank 3s of these end game troops.
Let's forget that moral is an factor in these battles, also certain points of the map, if they run out..you loose the battle.. and often your own army
