I tried to install Crusader Kings II on my laptop via steam.
The laptop has a Intel HD2000 graphics chip and the OS is Ubuntu 12.04

When I start the game the monitor turns black for about a second before it crashes and I'm on the Desktop again.
I started it through the terminal and got this:

Code:
[S_API FAIL] SteamAPI_Init() failed; Sys_LoadModule failed to load: /home/daniel/.steam/bin32/steamclient.so
[S_API FAIL] SteamAPI_Init() failed; unable to locate a running instance of Steam, or a local steamclient.dll.
Error: Received signal 11

EDIT: I just tried to delete & redownload the game. But I get the same error as before.

That video card is way below the minimum supported ones, so it may never work with this game. The published specs for the game are:

Mac+Linux-CK2 said:
ATI Radeon HD 6750 / NVIDIA GeForce 320 / NVIDIA GeForce 9600 or higher, 1024MB graphics memory required
Do make sure you are using the proprietary Intel driver, not the generic Ubuntu one.
