[Linux] can't click counties after Alt+Tabbing

I'm using a fully-updated CK2 on Linux via Steam, no DLCs [yet].

Sometimes when playing I need to Alt+Tab out to check email/Pidgin/whatever and sometimes (not always, but quite often) when I Alt-Tab back to CK2, I can no longer click on counties on the map. I have to quit the game and start it up again.

I read elsewhere that disabling the tooltips will solve this issue, however, I briefly tried playing without the tooltips on (via settings.txt option) and found it rather impossible. I rely on so much info that is shown, as far as I can tell, only in the tooltip boxes (vassal opinions, decision choice outcomes, trait modifiers, etc etc). I don't know how anyone could actually play without tooltips enabled!

Is there a different workaround or plans to patch this?

I am sorry if this was already reported here, but I tried a few forum searches and couldn't come up with the thread. Maybe I am blind, too.

On PC i simply don't play fullscreen. Changed my resolution in settings.txt to 1900 x 1060 on my 21x9 23" screen. Looks like fullscreen, but isn't.
Works for me on my PC, no idea if that is of any help on Linux though.

Sadly, it's not. Though I asked in other thread if other user was playing in full screen mode, it was because I didn't try in windowed mode yet. I tried and the issue still triggers when switching windows.

It's too bad this is still an issue. It makes the game more or less unplayable for me, because I can't play something that needs this kind of time investment without having the ability to minimize to respond to emails or do other tasks as I go.

The only reason I am not more upset is because I bought it for Windows; the fact that I can use it for Linux is icing on the cake. Had I paid money to use it on Linux, I would be hopping mad about this bug. On the flip side, if I had to purchase it separately for Linux, I probably would have.
