I hope there will be some commitment for a Linux version, even if the linux port is not available at launch (a bit like Battletech). I'm getting used to have to wait longer before getting my games for Linux (although not from PDS, kudos to them for that ! Linux at launch for all their games is something I applaud, and I hope Triumph will do the same in the future). Without commitment, I'll have to shield myself from the growing hype, and do as if this game does not exist (as I generally do for Windows-only games, whatever their merit).

Would be interesting to see. Do I need to buy different versions, when I first buy the Win version and want to change to linux, after it would be released?

I've never seen it work that way, though I wouldn't mind paying an extra $5 if that's what it takes to get a port. I mean, Windows users have to pay for garbage that's free for Linux users (or not needed), so it balances out, right?

Well, there is software working like this. You pay, you get a download code and then you choose, which version you want to install. But I wouldn't mind waiting for the linux version. I just want to know how it is working.

As salty as I am that they haven't committed to a Linux release, at least they, along with Hare Brain, weren't bought out by Microsoft. I just learned one of my favorite game devs (now that Bioware is effectively dead) was purchased by MS. I knew it was coming, but hearing Obsidian getting bought out hurt. Worse was when they also scooped up InXile.

Soo. . .Paradox, please hurry and buy out all the various struggling game devs. They need your love.
