"At some point" is the operative point of that phrase. Turkey, as a relative non-participant would probably not be the focus of a DLC, but might fit into an Eastern Mediterranean (Greece/Bulgaria) themed DLC

I can envision also a path where Turkey is going to unite all the mohammedan peoples and lands, expanding it's cores a lot.

Portugal and Mexico got a focus tree because of their neighbors also got a focus tree. It will probably be the same for Turkey. It will get it when the Soviet Union or the Middle East will be the focus of a DLC.

But considering the fact that Turkey didn't fight in WW2, it's not that important that they get a focus tree. Especially as it will be mainly a meme tree about the restoration of the Ottoman Empire.

Read what I said again. I said "would probably not be the focus of a DLC". Mexico was not the focus of MtG, and Portugal was not the focus of LaR. They did pair up with the nations that were the focus of those DLC.

And we didn't propose making a DLC focused on Turkey. Neither did @GGNC . But Turkey needs a unique focus tree instead of the generic one used currently. @withche.07 made a thread with many detailed suggestions on what could be included.

Thanks for mentioning my thread I think Turkey is very enjoyable country to play with many political options, strategic location, large manpower, many ww1 experienced commanders and secularism vs islamism tension. I wish they do it at some point. Our mod tried to reflect realistic Turkey but devs can even add Ottoman and İTC options that would make Turkey even more unique country to play with.

That would be nice. Egypt deserves to be represented in-game, as it was "semi-independent" from the uk.

A Turkish focus tree where they have options to stick to their agreement with Britain and enter the war on the allied side, as well as an alt where they go axis would be quite interesting. Of course if we got one it would be all about some sort of random fantasy.

Errr, Mexico actually participated in WWII, where Turkey joined a few months before the whole thing finished. The Aztec Eagles were hardly a major participant, but they did fight in Luzon alongside the Americans. You're right about Portugal though.

That being said I'd love to see a fun tree for Turkey and do a good run with that country.

Mexico actually participated in WWII, where Turkey joined a few months before the whole thing finished. The Aztec Eagles were hardly a major participant, but they did fight in Luzon alongside the Americans.

True, although several countries who participated more and longer than Mexico still have Generic focus trees (Belgium, Finland, Greece, Norway, Siam.)
And Turkey actually managed to expanded getting Hatay in 1938.

yeah thats true. I think Greece, Finland and Siam should get their own trees. I imagine Greece and Turkey would get trees at the same time tbh

Turkey would be an interesting candidate for a game that aimed at making neutrality harder and more complex, where you have to balance foreign influence, deal with the fallout of war around you etc.
