Lifting an embargo part of peace resolution?

Fellow EU'ers,

Got an question for the board members here. Been playing an IGC as Vinland for the last week or so. Playing Vinland pretty much guarantees a game-long conflict with Spain in the battle for expansion. I didn't have a CB against Spain, so I went ahead and flooded all her CoTs with traders until she eventually banned me from trade, which generated the sorely needed CB. Spain has her hands full with European stuff, so it's just a matter of occupying 5 or so colonies and then submitting 2 of them and 250 ducats as a peace offering.
My question is this - I noticed that as soon as the war was over, Spain lifted the embargo against my traders. Is this a standard response by the AI after losing a war? I banned the Spanish from my CoTs when the first war started and have kept the embargo on through peace and war for 70 or so years. Is part of a peace process to lift the embargo?

If they loose, removing trade embargo is part of the peace agreement. Losing part always loses embargo as well.

But with Spanish that's not a problem- just flood again after 5 years and they embargo you again and again

Sweet! Another tool in my toolkit to use in the game. Have no fear, I shall flood the Spanish CoTs again as again. Such is the way when playing the Vinlandians! This must be my 8th or 9th GC, and I'm still learning new tricks.

I think i know (almoust) everything by now, but even after 5-6 month of playing i found out some new tricks That's the game (and maybe a bad manual as well)
