Can you now species modify a Life Seeded species or is that a bug now?
I don't understand what you mean but I found out that if I start Life Seeded on a random location the planet will be fine for 25 but if you start at Sol or the other one (I forgot the name) you will get 16 districts and it's a bug.

I mean, I was able to Gene mod away the Gaia planet preference of my Life Seeded species. If this is NOT a bug, I am going to highly suggest that they reverse this since it more or less makes playing a Life-Seeded species no longer an actual challenge and just a tech rush to gene mod it away. It doesn't even require an Ascension Perk. Just a tier 2 tech and you can now colonize the galaxy... If you want I mean.

Wait, wait, wait. You mean to tell me that you can now gene mod away gaia world preference? This changes everything...

I do agree that it is OP. I have an idea though. Lock it behind the Evolutionary mastery ascension perk. That way if you want to go psionic ascension then you have to either tough it out or pick world shaper. Synthetic revolution remains unchanged.

I personally hope this isn't an intentional change. If it is, I'd rather them introduce a civic that lets you start with an Ecumenopolis instead and cut out the middle man.

That would actually be rather interesting, but you wouldn't have any food or minerals at the start iirc.

Yep. I tried consoling that one almost immediately. Your miners and farmers have jobs for about a month before going unemployed and you going hopelessly into the red. No farms, and you can't colonize a planet rapidly enough to survive so you just die. At best, the Civic would just give you two systems in your home. One your base species habitability and an ecumenopolis planet uninhabited in your starting system. Who put it there? Probably the same species that made your neighbors planet into a Gaia planet.

Hilariously enough, this is not the case with Hive Minds and Machine Intelligences. They just have two unemployed pops if you console for their respective planets.

It gives 1 of each Strategic Resource. You need to sacrifice 3 Buildings and 3 POP Jobs to extract them. It's not all that useful. I'd say it's by far the least useful of the aspects of Life-Seeded.

The biggest disadvantage of the life-seeded is the locked civic - not the planetary preference.
This also means that any species encountered with gaia preference might become useful again.
