I'm wondering if I'm alone to have very long life for my King (every games I played). Most of my Kings leave almost 60 years and very often around 80+ years. At the beginning, it seems great but in a second thought, it's very painful to handle a good succession because I don't have any control on my children of my children, plus I don't benefit from the education I provide, plus dumb wedding... etc
Moreover, I think irrelevant that my character died every times (99%) during a conflict whereas he still at court and not leading any troops. And when he is, he actually never dies, whatever how old he is and whatever how good are his martial skills. I precised most of my characters are Diplomacy focused (so they do not benefit from health bonuses that Soldiers do)
In my opinion, this needs to be quite overhaul:
- Reduce global life expectancy
- Make diseases slightly effective (Any of my played character died from it)
- Add specific trait about resilience (against diseases, old age...)
- Increase events frequency about old age and earlier (seriously there is too many 70+ yo people in this game)
- Balance death of played characters to make it happen more often during peaceful times.
