This idea came to me when I was playing EU using Hartmann's IGC 2.0 download that is in the scenarios section. I was playin America 1492- which is difficult becuase of little money and only 2 starting provences. Shortly into the game (i was playing on second fastest speed so it was realy shortly...) a Conquistidor came, giving me expansion oportunities. At the end he did so well I wrote down what he did, and here it is....

Life and Times of Ottar Gransse
(This is all fiction none of it is true, if Ottar Gransse was real, then this is an alternate Gransse...)

Ottar Gransse was born in the New World, and was born in 1475 to a great destiny. He grew up in the Conneticut colony, and was trained to live off the wild world surrounding his homeland. At 23 he was hired by the Government of the kingdom of Conneticut to explore the surrounding area. His first discoveries where in the north, and then to the west. He made the first European contact with the Iraquois indians, which gained him the title the Conquerer. He led a small force of troops around the Indian lands and then through them, taking every province from the Natives, who then happily surrendored to our rule. (no rebellions, not for 15 years...) When he was asked about the victory he is recorded saying "We have opened a door to a new age of prosperity, for both out people.

After returning home for a year he recieved the title of Count, and was given the lands of Eire to own. He passed the title to his son when he left for his next long journey.

For the next 10 years Ottar explored the lands south of the Ohio Valley. He reached the far lands of the Biyou in 1504, and then made his second greatest discovery in 1506. "It was hot, but not wet like the lands we had been to before, this was a dry hot, the heat of hell." A seargant in his army had written apon his return. Ottar reached the lands owned by the Native tribed called Aztecs, who seemed not to notice him at all. He quickly moved through the ancient stone temples and towering monoliths, defeating the Aztec armies quickly, and claiming the gold rich lands for the Kingdom of America, as it now was called. He was asked to become governer of the entire Mexican lands, but declined and said "my life is the great beyond, and as long as it is still beyond, I will go towards it."

After a few years of reinforcments Ottar set off once more to the south. He met, and was attacked by a group of Spainiards, led by some Cortez, Ottar used his knew found knowladge, and native allies to route the Spainiards and chase them into the southern continent of the Americas. The Spanish went to thr East, trying to find a way around the Americas to the Far East, Ottar went south, looking for a fabled civilization of natives in the far South.

In 1510 he invaded the Inca lands, and his army seemed to be unstoppable. "Wave after wave of these foul natives charged us, I myself slew over one hundred" (In game terms I destroyed about 70 thousand troops because he wouldnt stop charging). But Ottar's past victory's did not help him in this battle. His forces where beaten down hard, and he gave up on the idea of a quick annexation of the Inca lands.

Through the 1510's and 20's Ottar took numerous grain heavy lands, and one province heavily ladened in gold, but he knew it was not enough. He felt that he must counquer the last native boundry so that total victory could be insured. He tried once more before he died, and rampaged the lands between Lima and the Spanish annexed lands in the south of the Inca heartland. His forces, although heavily outnumbered, sourounded and left alone, fought with all their mights, right into the city of Cuzco, where Ottar met his fate. His body was returned to his estate in Eire where he was buried.

Although Ottar's dream was never reached his name is still held in the greatest regards. The regiment he led took on the nick-name 'the explorers' and continued on their quest for total controll of the South American states.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do you like the idea of an individual history? If you want post others here about heroes, rulers, cowards, generals, anything, I want to see if this idea is any good at all, and if it is I want to see how everyone else would like the personal history to be.
(also if you like it I might try to get a screen shot up, to see what all lands he took (everything that was counquered was taken by him.)
Well if you want make a life story for him, or a timeline. I am just kind of interested in seeing the little points of the AAR's like this one. Or if you look at a few entries of the polish AAR of mine you see I add some social and culture stuff in their (along with Shakespere...) because thats the kind of thing I like.
The year is 1986. In the university of Rome a young student is sitting and writing his essay on Frederico Nocardia...
In the year 1460 a boy was born in Florence. He was the son of Lord Roberto Nocardia, advisor in the fields of military technology, strategy and juggling and a member of the Tuscan grand council. He was baptized Frederico Giuliani Nocardia.
His childhood ressembeld that of many young noble-men. He was taught in all the important fields and especially in military strategy and national economy. His father wanted him to follow in is foot-steps.
When he was 32 his father died and he was forced to take his place in the grand council and as advisor. At first he didn't have much impact on Tuscany but in 1494 he took part in convincing the Grand Duke to decalre war on the Papal states. The war was a success for Tuscany. The badly prepared Papal armies were beaten by the Tuscany army and in the pace treaty of Rome Tuscany was given the provinces Emilia and Romagna. This victory would be the basis of the growth of Tuscany.
Lord Nocardia was also the one who was in charge of the actions taken by the Tuscan army against the rebels of Romagna. He became famous for his cruelty.
When the Grand Duke died he managed to get a larger influence over Tuscany. When Piero I was crowned king the power of Lord Nocardia was stronger than ever.
Lord Frederico Nocardia passed away on november 7 1502. It is unkown how he died but it is likely that he died from a heart attack due to old age.
Lord Nocardia gave many things to Tuscany during his life. Despite the obvious capture of Emilia and Romagna there are many more. He founded the economic presence of Tuscany in Genua and Venice, he modernized the army and gave Tuscany an internal stability that it hadn't experienced in years.
Maybe not the best I've ever written but what the hey.
Machiavelli: Portait of a Leader
Machiavelli was born in 1469, as son of a Florentian lower noble. He went to the prestigious Academia Florentiae, but he didn't like fine arts, so he went to Paris to study International Politics.
When he returned to Florence, he spent a year doing nothing but watching the Florentian politics and thinking about how it would be if he lead the city-state.
He was frustrated about the ignorance of the Florentians politicians and after a year of observation, he introduced himself to the Grandduke of Florence and Tuscany...
The Grandduke was enthusiastic about this, and promoted Machiavelli to youngest, at the age of 23, Secretarius Florentiae ever.
This title was mostly the First Advisor of the Grandduke.
Machiavelli was very close to the first Monarch under which he served and he idolized him as a God.
Machiavelli advised the Duke to invade the Papal States and Modena, and under his reign, Tuscany doubled it's land area.
In 1501,the di Medici were banished from Tuscany and republic was proclaimed.
Machiavelli lost all trust in the government and spent the 12 years he was banished with writing angry letters to governments in the entire world.
Then, in 1513, the president of the republic died, and Monarchy was restored!
Still, he was not the man he used to be...
He was disgruntled about the fact that the former Duke had died while he was banished.
He didn't care about the dukes and gave all the power to himself.
He made the dukes his puppets, and decided things without them knowing it.
And if they dared to not agree with the Eminence Grise, they would soon die 'at a heart attack'. He didn't care about their decadent lives... He helt them responsable for the evil deeds that happened to his best friend, the first Grandduke.
However, under his authority Florence became a great power, with colonies all over the world and a large part of Italy.
When he died in 1526, the entire world was celebrating.
In their eyes, he was an evil dictator, but for the Florentians he was a hero.
He had written a booklet 'Imperium Aeternum' just before his death which he gave to the Duke, accompanied with a very emotional letter, two hours befor his death.
With this book, the later dukes conquered more of Italy including Rome.
Perhaps we will never know what kind of person Machiavelli was in his personal life...
One thing is clear, even today, in 1538, people in Florence still believe he is a God, while everywhere else, people believe he is the devil...
Interesting, both from Tuscany... Now I wonder if anyone else has a person they might bring up. (If I have something happen I might make another)
