Epilogue: De post bellum mundi.
North America wasn't the only place in the world that changed once the Entente enforced its authority in this new world order.
The so called Platinean War, which started the 17th of June of 1944 ended a mere two months after the fall of the CSA, on the 10th of April of 1946. Although La Plata started this war with significant gains against his enemies of the Latin American Union - Brazil, Chile, Bolivia, Venezuela, who the Socialist government o Perú would join to later -, the red forces stood victorious at the end. The state of La Plata, who claimed to be the successor of the former Spanish viceroyalty that existed until a hundred years ago, was split in three different states: The Commune o Argentina, the Social Republic of Uruguay (who agreed to integrate itself into Brazil months later) and the State of Paraguay. The latter one was quite the particular case, as it was born as a anti-Platinean coup d'État orchestrated by reactionary nationalist officers. This circunstance made Paraguay the only non-socialist state in South America besides Colombia.
Colombia would fall to socialism, however, as 4 days after the Platinean defeat the reactionary Colombian government, claiming to recover the lands of the former Republic of Gran Colombia founded by Simón Bolívar at the beginning of the XIXth century, declared war against the Socialist Republic of Venezuela, a member of the Latin American Union, alongside his lackeys in the loyal Ecuatorian cabinet. Obviously, the Colombian forces were outnumbered and outgunned by the Union armies, and on the 10th of June the Greater Colombian madness was no more.
South America after the Platinean and Colombian Wars. This continent has become the last bastion of socialism in the world.
(Note: for some reason Syndicalist Colombia kept the Gran Colombia name)
The next major change would take place in both the Far East and Africa during 1947. On the 23rd of January, the Second Russo-Japanese War ended with the triumph of the Volga-Danubian alliance over the Empire of the Rising Sun and his minions. Mongolia and Transamur were annexed by the Russian Empire, in Fengtian a Chinese Republic was founded, and the Kuril Islands were taken from Japan, who saw her domains limited to Korea and the several Pacific islands that once belonged to the German Empire. Following these events, a second revolution overthrew the royal house of Siam, turning this ancient kingdom into the Republic of Thailand. During the chaos following the birth o this republic, colonial forces of the Dominion of India seized the lands of the Lower Shan and Malaysia, who was put back under British control. Finally, the Qing Empire 'completed' his reunification campaign by seizing Tibet on the 12th of March. Only Xinkiang, which was under Russian control, Fengtian and the international ports remained out of the Chinese yoke.
After the war, the Russian dominance over Asia was ensured.
On April that year, the last remnant of the old German dominance over the world received its killing blow: Nationalist agitation and an inefficient and corrupt administration made the exiled German Empire, located in Africa fall into collapse. Kaiser Willhelm the 3rd fled Daressalam, the capital city of this failed empire, and the entire colonial empire was shattered between warlords and tribal chiefs. Seeing this as a more than perfect oportunity to recover its lost colonies, France launch a massive intervention over the German territories. The operation would almost an entire year, but by March of 1948, what was left of the German Empire fell in French hands. However, the French government knew the other powers, even his allies in the Entente, would not tolerate a total French dominance over Africa, so it was decided to host a conference in Paris in May. The conference, that lasted from the 7th to the 10th of May, had as a result a kind of restoration of the colonial order prior to the Blitzkrieg, with the exception of the German colonies being redistributed between France, Great Britain and South Africa. Also, French control came back to Indochina, but instead of direct rule from Paris, it was decided to create a colonial semi-independent administration based on the collaboration with the local elites, resulting in the Indochinese Federation. Lastly, the Chinese ports under German control passed directly to be ruled by the French Republic.
The new colonial order in Africa. Note that all the lands from Tripolitania to Somalia were not under foreign control.
With these changes, a new world was established, and the last remnants of the old order had gone for good.
And France, who then stood proud at the top of the world, had had its revenge.
