Welcome to yet another In Nomine After Action Report.

The start date of the AAR: 1794
The start date of the save: 1789
The goal of the AAR: To occupy, annex or vassalize as much of Europe as possible and destroy the Holy Roman Empire.
All settings are default, except leaders, they are historical and lucky nations are off.

Let me start off with an overview of the Revolutionary French forces.

Army of Armagnac: 35,000 infantry, 10,000 calvary, 5,000 artillery, under the command of Louis Nicolas Davout.

Army of Foix: 35,000 infantry, 10,000 calvary, 5,000 artillery, under the command of André Masséna.

Army of Provence: 35,000 infantry, 10,000 calvary, 5,000 artillery, under the command of Louis Gabriel Suchet.

Army of Burgundy: 36,000 infantry, 10,000 calvary, 5,000 artillery, under the command of Jean Victor Moreau.

Army of Lorraine: 35,000 infantry, 10,000 calvary, 5,000 artillery, under the command of Francios Kellerman.

Army of Calais: 31,000 infantry, 14,000 calvary, 5,000 artillery, under the command of Jeannot de Moncey.

Army of Brittany: 27,000 infantry, 18,000 calvary, 5,000 artillery, under the command of Barthélemy Joubert.

That totals seven armies of fifty-thousand men each, bringing the total to 350,000 men.

Without further ado, I present to you, Revolutionary France!

New spl AAR! Great! I like the period, let's see if you can do better than Napoleon

Yay, a revolutionary AAR.

My favorite! :D

Should be interesting. Plenty of forces to start with. I'd say disbanding the HRE shouldn't be that big a problem. Invading Russia and defeating the British navy however...

Pour la patrie!

A fresh revolutionary breeze is blowing over Europe..

Vive La France!

*Subscribed*!

At the risk of sounding exactly like every other poster here:

Vive la Révolution! :D

Is it the National Convention ruling France right now? I hope so, that Robespierre was a very interesting person. Good luck spreading the Revolutionary ideals, and I expect to see Frenchmen in Paris by 1800. ;)

The Spanish Campaign

spa.png

Summer 1794, 200,000 guards of the Revolution lined up at the Spanish border behind the Pyrenees Mountains, the force consisted of the army of Brittany, Foix, Provence, and Armagnac.

Meanwhile, the armies of Burgundy, Lorraine, and Calais lined up at the Austrian border to keep them from advancing into France.

Portugal and Bavaria had become our allies earlier, and they both supported us against Spain and Austria.

In a preemptive strike against Austria, the Army of Calais attacked an Austrian army in Vlaanderen and the first battle of the revolution was a crushing defeat for the foes of the Revolution.

By the end of June the the armies had seized control of the Pyrenees Mountains and prepared to make a push into the Spanish Heartland.

In July some much needed manpower comes in to play.

Somehow, there were only 10,000 Spanish soldiers in Spain, it seemed they were more determined to fight the United States off of their American possessions.

Tiny Spanish forts fell one by one, the assault was moving along quickly.

A picture of Spain in October.

Before December ended, all of Spain had fallen to either French or Portuguese soldiers.

The assault on Spain took only six months, the Austrians won't roll over so easily though.

To keep the Spanish patriots from retaking Spain a mercenary force was recruited to keep the peace.
The army of Spain consisted of 6,00 calvary, 18,000 infantry, and 1,000 artillery and was under the command of Jean B. Jourdan.

That was quite an easy campaign! :D

Don't subestimate the Spanish Rebels! They can be quite annoying. But certainly, it was an easy campaign. Let's see how you do against Austria.

Yeah but the Spanish war isn't over yet. There's probably completely unconquerable colonies to fight over...
