Interesting, all those new neighbors and Peru have less than three provinces hehe

I also agree with Garra, the biggest problem France and Argentina have with each other was back when Louis Phillipe kept hovering part of his navy around Buenos Aires.

As the "badboy discussion" is a bit wide and dodgy I will not answer to to every post seperately but in common. I originally meant that germans have to play the part of the villains so often in popular literature and movies that it is pretty worn out. I wasn't so much referring to history. I think every nation got its bright and dark moments.

Garra-Ush: I'm glad there was no missunderstanding about the Malvinas/Falklands. (I might rename them to something like Juanaria Islands or so just to get this nomenclature thing out of the way).
I think I'll leave the duchies where they are, there are good geopolitical reason in the eyes of the brazilian and platinean governments to have them. And the conquered peruvian territory will be a military occupation zone for the moment. I might consider to establish reservations for the indigene people but rather will do that by fluff and not by modding them in as nations. Anyway as I'm planning to get a fair amount of immigrants they will conquer the new territories for me in a cultural way.
PS: Once I'll have to see Argentina and Rio Grande do Sul, especially Blumenau and argentine Oktoberfests are on the to do list.

asd21593: Never doubted that. I hope to see you return to the vicky forum with a new AAR.

LeeDub: Platinea is doing fairly well, the economy is just in it's lift off phase and Platinea already has the 6th/7th biggest economic capacity in the world. Prestige-wise Platinea has an uncontested paramouncy. The military capacity is around place 10. You can see all this in the next update.

Genusaus: Piecemeal for the platinean panther :D. I don't give away too much by saying that some expansion in these directions could be expected before the game is over.

Delex: What I do have against Iceland? Global warming!

Libertad o Muerte! - Map 1860

1860mapheader.jpg

Dear Readers,
The London Adventure Map Company Ltd. proudly presents to you the new and über-improved map of South America - Platinea edition. This map gives you all the necessary knowledge about South America in common and about the kingdom of Platinea in special. Therefore this edition features four additional maps depicting infrastructure, population density, ethnic groups and crime rates & troublesome areas. Similar information about other countries in South America can be found in the respective editiong (e.g. South America - Brazil edition). We also have taken your reactions and suggestions into account and have included comparative charts and the wealth of nations. A statistical breakdown of the platinean people is included in an auxiliary graphic to give you a better hindsight of platinean society and culture.

Click on the map to see a much more deatailed one.
* please not that neither the Juan Fernandez Island nor the Desventura Islands are actual provinces in Victoria.

Territorial changes since the last edition:
On the atlantean seabord the Piratini Republic had been dissoluted, while the southernmost provinces went to Platinea the rest was divided into three states which de facto are satellites of the kingdom of platinea.
On the pacific seabord Peru had been reduced to a meager shadow of its former self. While Ecuador seized the northern provinces Platinea seized the vast rest.

Click on the maps to see much more deatailed ones.

1860stats.jpg

Due to a steady amount of immigrants the platinean cultural has spread to every corner of the kingdom and today already 76% of the populace are of platinean ethnicity.
Platinea is by far the richest country in South America and one of the richest in the world measured by income per capita.
And while the Platinean people makes about 42.3% of the south american population the Platinean army makes up 79.4% of all armed forces on the continent and the Platinean industry accounts for 88% of that of the whole continent.

There is another map I would like to show you, but due to copyright and bandwith reasons I can only link it. (here)

Awesome Maps, Treppe, equal than professional era-like map(a little favor, make a more big of the first map, because the techinical information is Unreadble in several ways), in fact, like i said, this is one of the Best VictoriAAR of South America(especially Argentina) ever made(but some friend of mine who are Chilean Ultranationalist will scream,XD), well, you're now in the House Divided Era(aka the War between States), well, you now can focus on colonies or something who made interesting(Again in Europe, the Only True Ally against the British if you want to return the Malvinas Islands will be or Germany or Russia) the actual phase of the AAR... Well i will see how the AAR progress in the furute, i wish you success, Deutches Friend

The first map was amazing, the content in it was very nice and I spent a ton of time looking at it in awe...

But the last map... made my mouth literally drop, this is some ridiculously amazing work. I've already been impressed by the pictures you put into the AAR and the first map, but by God that was just purely amazing.

I'm glad you like the maps. The last one alone took me about 100 hours of work, but as that were my first artistic steps in photoshop it might be considerably less work for any one who has some knowledge and skill with it.
  • The large map on the top of the post was done in photoimpact, with some beautification in photoshop. As I posted earlier I have hand drawn every single province as an object to give it the ingame look which took me probably another 100 hours.
  • The small maps was done in photoimpact, too. But could have been done in Paint I guess. I simply took a screenshot and filled the provinces with colors (using the bucket tool) according to the information I got from the ledger and then I painted the province borders out with a simple brush.
  • The last one I made in Photoshop, as I already mentioned, by simply drawing it on new layers (one layer for rivers, one for mountains and so forth) on top of an old map which I used as a template (can't be seen in the final version as I checked it as unseen). To go through all my steps in the map creation process would be beyond the cope of this post and thread and therefore I suggest to anyone who is really interested in it to sign up for my upcoming map making tutorial here.

Nivek Beldo: I guess you noticed that there is a much bigger one (2500x2000 pixels) when you click at the map on top (1000x800 pixels). I double checked the informations on the large map and it seems to me that they are readable. Though the infos about Venezuela are a bit hard to read it is still manageable.
How the American Civil War will go we will see soon I guess, I yet have no plans of becoming involved.
Neither have I any plans of colonial expansion. Though a short adventure in the far east seems to be very tempting in order to force migrate chinese POPs.

asd21593: The days of the mole are counted (somwhere around 1800 are left).

Thank you all for your kind words. I know that I sometimes post too few maps to illustrate my gains and events and general ingame but I hope this made up for it.
