It being a bit nit-picking here, but I was actually trying to precisely work out how diff combos of the levy [extreme levies - extreme taxes] in combo with the feudal / clerical / city obligations PLUS the crown settings work....and I must admit its beyond me.

The only thing I could seem to gather, was that even at 100% opinion, with high crown levies and high levy focus and medium feudal reqs, the most I got was 50% of the available troops [which is fine, I just wanted to know how the number was arrived at.]

I.E. One of my Kings friends was a castle baron at 100+ opinion, and his barony could field 332 troops. Yet in the mil screen, it said 50% of that [with rounding up for individual troop types when an odd number] was available, due to opinion 100, and laws 0%.

Its just a bit baffling ..lol....trying to add up the diff plus and minuses, and seemingly not being able to get 50%...

If anyone knows how it works , as in the equation, I'd be grateful to know, thanks :)

The "equation" is multi-stage and extremely complex, depending upon laws, laws of your vassals, etc., capital de jure territory tier bonus/malus curve for the liege levy factor, etc. The de jure territory stuff is the strongest factor currently affecting how many levies you can actually pull from any given barony. In a new, as yet unannounced project within HIP that complements PB, a lot of reworking of liege levies is currently being done to both be more intuitive as well as integrate brand new dynamic-scaling mechanics to simulate levy-raising efficiency decline as realms grow in size (balance measure that makes the game much more dynamic and prevents snowballing) and the reverse. When this project is announced, shortly thereafter will follow some development diaries, and they'll contain some neat graphs explaining how those mechanics work and how the older mechanics have been simplified (e.g., an end to most of the de jure territory bonus/malus curves' impact introduced with SoA will be coming) without reducing their strategic effects.
