I often want to build certain buildings on their corresponding resource tile, but I want to place it on the highest yield one.
E.g. You have a planet that you've made 100% energy. But you want to quickly spot an empty tile for building an art monument. Or perhaps you want to put down a Paradise Dome on the highest yield food resource. Or maybe you want to place a Gene Clinic on the highest society tile? Then there's Cloning Vats, Military Academies, Galactic Stock Exchanges, etc, etc... all buildings you might want to build on already established planets.
How do you do this? You have to click on every. single. tile.
(and remember them)
25 pop world? That's 25 clicks.
And sometimes you run into this issue:
You can't see the tile because of the popup text.
And sometimes this:
Something is already building here... you now have to scroll down to check the tile resource.
Personally, I wish there was a button that gave you a 'clear ground' view. One that removes all pops and buildings (or fades them) and instead displays the base resource value according to what the tile originally provides. Red text for supressed, green for being collected.
