Okay, so, with all this extra time now that summer is here I have decided it would be a good thing if I did something constructive. I decided upon translating the I.F.U. Event Histories to English.
I did three this morning. There are 24 pages of them in Microsoft Word... and there are about 7-10 per page. Now... I'm not a masochist, and 240 of these would be very time consuming. What I'm asking is, anybody who feels like it can volunteer here, state how many pages they are willing to translate, and I will send the pages to them either by E-Mail or PM. If the finished products could then be sent to me exactly the same, except for the new English words instead of German, I can just paste them back into the file.
What I think is easiest is pasting the German text for each event into the box at freetranslation.com. What you get there isn't perfect, and can actually be kind of confusing. However, you can edit it to make sense, and to be readable. If all of them are done, we can have all the events translated!
Now, if 24 people volunteer to do one page each, that would be great. I doubt that, and I would assume 2 pages would be a good choice. However, if you feel like doing more or less, it’s up to you. All right, let's get this thing started!
