I love making money in games. I'd like to know all the different ways we can generate income and what moneypits we can throw all our shekels down.
Would be interesting to have banks. Gold, silver, copper mining and storage, perhaps even rent storage to other nations.
Actually a lot of towns around bigger cities here in the Netherlands are running surpluses since most higher class people moved out of the cities into those towns and most services are then in the bigger citiesI'm hoping for a similar loan system to CiM2, so many citybuilders have simplistic and arbitrarily limited loans making it only an early game aid or last minute resort, in CiM loans could be useful for quicker expansion even later in the game. After all I don't think cities running a surplus is the norm in real life very often.
I actually prefer the loan system from CiM1, where you had a choice between three different banks with different terms and interest rates. And you could refinance/pay down your loans too!I'm hoping for a similar loan system to CiM2, so many citybuilders have simplistic and arbitrarily limited loans making it only an early game aid or last minute resort, in CiM loans could be useful for quicker expansion even later in the game. I dislike the resource system in city game to be honest. It feels too gamey. A city should live only on taxes and some extra income from certain industries and national buildings if you allow them to do business in your area. I think Sim City had it right, the old Sim City.
Taxes and extra income from army bases etc. Mining resources are for private firms and I kind of don't want to have to put mines 200 meters away from my financial district to make the city go around financially...
I am relatively sure we're going with something similar here.
Wow, for sure?
Like straight up "copy/paste" it from CiM1 or just use it as a framework?
