Great AAR :D

It's bit like WW2 in Pacific happening in... Atlantic ;) Brazil is like Burma (jungle, junge, and more jungle), the Caribbean islands look like their Pacific counterparts and the former US is like Japan+Korea+China combined. Vorwärts to final victory over syndicalist evil! :D

Alright, breaking down the votes from this site and the other where I'm hosting it (Three over there), the breakdown comes to 6-1-5. Mexico and mountains it is!

~~~~
As the final preparations were being made to the Reichswehr, over in the Second Russo-Japanese war Russia annexed the Japanese-puppet state of Fentigen (Manchuria), taking from the pressured Japanese their last ally in the region. Japanese divisions continued to hold in the Korean Northern Mountains however, and the Russian's Qing Allies were grumbling about Russia keeping their Chinese territories to themselves. The factions were far from cemented over there.
KRscreen1-16.jpg
It was perhaps a sad statement for the Reichstag to make that their medical procedures were being constantly retooled with field experience and the newest equipment available, as everyone present, Kaiser included, understood this advancement was being made mainly in preparation for the many German wounded sure to come of an American invasion.
KRscreen4-15.jpg
Just before the massive transport of the Reichswehr was scheduled to launch, however, one last initiative in the Reichstag was made for peace. The main argument was not based on how the American Syndicalists (Those left) would be unable to truly threaten a dominant European Germany, but instead on how the launch and expected casualties of the Operation would disrupt many of the new families a good part of the Reichswehr had started with their two years of semi-active status in the Fatherland. Even the most fervent War Hawks of the Tag were unusually thoughtful of the commitment, when put into this context. In the end, it came down to Kaiser Wilhelm III's words that, as he put it, "a world with a continuing Syndicalist presence, one in particular with nuclear weapons and a hostile attitude towards the German people that shows no signs of relenting, would be a much greater disruption to all German families, than the valiant sacrifices of many fathers and sons to once and for all stop such a threat".
KRevent1part14.jpg
(I actually got a second peace/dove lobby increasing event, but didn't screenshot because I felt it wasn't a good enough bit for the AAR, now I regret that. Just ignore that part of the UoB)
And so, the first near 400,000 German Reichswehr troops, many waving and giving heartfelt goodbyes to their families and fellow citizens, departed from Lubeck. Their destination, Havana.
Krscreen5-15.jpg
The American Navies, broken by the German Air Carriers, still attempted to make life hectic for the German Transport fleets. KriegsMarine Liche Flotillas sunk these without quarter. Most retreated to port after a few licks.
KRscreen6-15.jpg
After about two months of sailing back and forth between the two hemispheres, About two million Germans were assembled on the Island of Cuba, not counting Luftstreitkräfte or KriegsMarine personnel. The invasion of North America, codenamed Operation Gotterdammung, would start with an invasion of the Yucatan, followed by smashing the CentroAmerican and Mexican nations before reaching the American border. The American Armed Forces made up about 5/6ths of all Syndicalist military at this point, so while the CentroAmerican campaign was expected to go as planned, Mexico in the best of scenarios would become a bloody campaign where German armor continually pressed back the huge masses of American infantry. At worst, it would become a bloody battle of attrition, reminiscent of the first Weltkrieg.
KRscreen7-15.jpg
The campaign started on December 5th. Whereas in Europe such timing would have been boneheaded, in the hot jungles of Central America, some snow might have been a welcome relief to the marines and mountain troops as they crashed ashore in the Yucatan peninsula and Belize city.
KRscreen8-15.jpg
(The front expands as the Reichswehr divides up to start the simultaneous campaigns.)
(The campaign by Mid-February)
KRscreen10-14.jpg
The last of the CentroAmerican and CSA armed forces in Central America collapsed when General Manstein made a daring amphibious assault with his Panzer Army, preventing the Syndicalists from retreating to there and fortifying the city against Reichswehr forces.
KRscreen11-15.jpg
As the Operation is playing out in the Americas, an almost non-issue comes up in the Reichstag. A motion is made to make a permanent statement on Syndicalist parties in the more democratic Kaiserreich. Originally banned in 36', with the reforms brought on by Wilhelm III in 43' there had been whisperings of whether the German syndicalists would be allowed to participate once more in the government process. Papen brought it to the floor for a vote, and both chambers with a healthy majority voted to ban the party. Very few in the German public saw much trouble with the decision.
KRevent1part17.jpg
As the Central Americas were once again MittelEuropa friendly (Briefly before under United Provinces control in 42'), the Reichswehr turned all its efforts to Mexico. A panic in the plan erupted when, as a large part of the Reichswehr reached Mexico City, the lines behind them at Pueblo collapsed under a million man American advance.
KRscreen13-12.jpg
(Should have taken a better shot of the retreating Germans, sorry)
Realizing the tired Germans at Mexico city wouldn't reach Pueblo in time nor in good enough shape, the General Staff had the entire Reichswehr reserves kept in Cuba shipped over and dropped at Pueblo. The American forces, equally as disorganized as the Germans in Mexico, would falter against fresh troops. And they did. The crisis had been averted.
KRscreen14-11.jpg
As all German Reichswehr were being moved up to face the ever-increasing American troops in Mexico, the Germans turned Central America over to their formerly-annexed allies, the United Provinces of America. The Panama canal, for the time being, would be kept under German hold.
KRscreen15-10.jpg
The war in Mexico, as the weeks dragged on, was seemingly more and more likely to become the General Staff's worst-case scenario, a battle of attrition against vast American infantry human waves. The largest of these concentrations however, was dangerously close to being surrounded and starved in the southern mountains of Mexico. It was going to be difficult to beat the near one million Americans there, supplied or unsupplied, but they couldn't be ignored, not at the flanks of the Reichswehr.
Great AAR. Makes me want to download the mod, except I don't have ARM. :(
I've always thought Kaiserreich could be an excellent setting for a novel or a short series to do, Turtledove-ish with regards to characters and how they'd fit in.
It'd be pretty good, except for the awkwardly-written and cringe-inducing sex scenes. ;)
Good news everyone! You dont need ARMA, but it works with it. Most of the time. Though I dont know if that should be attributed to the mod or a lack of compatibility with ARMA. In any case, it was designed for DD, I believe.
Update 17
Nice find Leviathan07.
~~~~

Over the month as the Reichswehr regrouped for the renewed push, Syndicalist Troops continued to move back and forth to Acapulco, reinforcing the Mexican capital by the end to near 900 thousand men.

KRscreen1-17.jpg

Following the month of re-planning, an argument broke out in the General Staff how to best approach the mass at Acapulco. By now, with 5 years since nuclear weapons technology had been finalized, the Reich had amassed several of these doomsday weapons. With casualty estimates high for any assault on Acapulco, and bypassing the region not an option, some theorized the use of a nuclear bomb could both neutralize the syndicalist military there, and minimize German casualties. The Kaiser and dissenting General Staffers however, argued such usage could provoke retaliatory nuclear exchanges from the Syndicalists, whom German spies had confirmed on having several bombs. In the end, conventional warfare would be used, unless no headway could be made in the fight, in which a nuclear device would be dropped on the city. Strategic Bombers were moved down to nearby Guatemala for the worst-case scenario.

KRscreen2-17.jpg

KRscreen3-17.jpg

(The Acapulco region is surrounded)

The attack was started, and past all Field Marshals' expectations, was a resounding success, as the Syndicalists, cut off and unsupplied, surrendered en masse.

KRscreen4-16.jpg
KRscreen5-16.jpg

Despite what had been a fifth of their army now in captivity and being shipped over to Cuba, the CSA made no difference in their handling of their armies, constantly going on the offensive. Panzer divisions constantly blunted their infantry masses.

KRscreen6-16.jpg

The next move to get to the CSA proper was now focused on Tampico, a strip of coast on the gulf of Mexico. Even as the CSA funneled masses of troops into the area, they also threw as much airpower as they could muster to slow down the Reichswehr advanced, which German Luftstreitkräfte thankfully put down.

KRscreen8-16.jpg
KRscreen7-16.jpg

The nonstop influx of Syndicalist reinforcements had their toll on the Reichswehr however. Even with the disaster of Acapulco, the CSA still had twice the amount of men the Germans did in the Americas, and it showed.

KRscreen9-16.jpg

The same situation would repeat at the province of Leon, with CSA infantry numbers simply overwhelming the tenacity and ability of the Kaiserreich soldat. The Operation had started as an attempt to distract the CSA from Tampico, but in the end only cost more manpower, which the Syndicalists had plenty more of to spare. The defeat left many frustrated at the General Staff. The war seemed to be boiling down to a stationary front, ala the first Weltkrieg.

KRscreen10-15.jpg

Something had to be done to change the Mexican front to a mobile one again, and get out of the mountainous terrain so the Reichswehr could reach the Great Plains of CSA. Suggestions such as abandoning the front and making a new beachhead elsewhere, such as Florida, were suggested and thrown out due to all the logistical complications. Increased divisions were dismissed as the Americans would simply increase their own numbers in counter, as though they weren't already. In the end, even the Kaiser consented on the use of the Reich's Hydrogen Bombs, with the hope that the Luftstreitkräfte could keep any planes with revenge bombs from getting to their targets, and knowledge that such weapons were being used purely against military installations, as opposed to earlier suggestions of use on cities for demonstrations. The six largest military masses of the Syndicalists in Mexico were targeted.

KRscreen11-16.jpg

(The Bombings)

KRscreen14-12.jpg

KRscreen13-13.jpg

KRscreen15-11.jpg

The bombings had their intended affect, the Syndicalist numbers advantage was shattered, with an estimated over 2 million killed and severely wounded personnel. Reichswehr troops, ordered to advance into the regions as far as possible from the Ground Zero areas, reported great masses of twisted defensive structures and vehicles, and many other horrible, otherworldly sights. The Nuclear Genie, the new Pandora's Box, had been opened up.

(Reported Syndicalist Divisions before, and after the bombings)

KRscreen12-16.jpg

KRscreen16-10.jpg

Less than a month after the bombings, the front had reached the CSA border with Mexico. Operation : Gotterdammung had succeeded.
