There has never been, and never will be a pan-slav nation like the ones you are dreaming of. There has been multiple Italian kingdoms and German Empires. What possible historical basis do you have for your proposal?

Yes Germany might be a bit farfetched, but not by the 1800s. There is more historical clout behind that idea than of a Slavic Empire.

The idea of united Germany is more important and more meaningful than the idea of united Slavs. Reflecting on both ideas are the same - Prussian domination over German states / Russia's dominance in the Balkans.

Prussians had at least some legitimacy to claim the unification of Germany. The people were speaking one language, were living in the same polity (HRE), Kingdom of Germany was a title before, and didn't think of each other as foreign people. We Slavs don't speak one language, were never living all in the same polity, nor was there any previous identity that we could base the nationalism on. Not to mention that we hated each other as much, if not more, as other peoples.

For unification there needs to be some sort of an idea people will follow. German Empire wasn't just a Prussian policy, it was the actual will of the people (look at German Revolution) to unite, which was born out of the rise of nationalism.

Dude, you mixed everything up.
1)Polish does not sound Russian.
2) Alphabet came before the schism
3) People flip flop religion after changing alphabet (Western Ukraine)
4) Speaking different languages, using different alphabet for over centuries is enough to create wholly different cultures. Not to mention distance and natural barriers.
5) Does Germany include England or Scandinavia ?
6) The whole panslavism idea is absurd because of 1+2+3+4+5

Our languages are similar, the culture is the same, unfortunately, we were disturbed by religion and neighboring countries. The union of the Slavs could be a reaction to the unification of Germany.

Maybe we did not like it, and it's still up to today, but we should not look at what divides us only in what we are connected to - blood ties, similar culture and language and personality.

I have noticed that in this discussion we are talking about one of these ideas, which was just a loose suggestion

5) What would she have for?
Try to think please.

Pan-Slavic Empire:
- Poles
- Russians
- Ukrianians
- Belarus
- Czech
- Slovaks
- Serbs
- Croatians
- Slovenians
- Bosnians
- Bulgarians
- Macedonians
- Montenegrins
- Sorbs
- Kashubians
- Lemkos

German Empire:
- Germans
- MAYBE Austrians.

Can you see what you are comparing? The analogy to your Slavic Empire is not German Empire, but Germanic Empire. That is:

- Germans
- Austrians
- Dutch
- Swiss
- Danes
- Swedes
- Norwegians
- English
- Scots

Would you make Germanic Empire a possible tag? If yes, then I'm fine with Slavic Empire.

Germany and Italy did, in a way, exist throughout the timeframe as constituent kingdoms within the Holy Roman Empire. No Panslavic state really existed in history (Rus, Moravia, Yugoslavia, Russia etc) and most attempts for it were an excuse to interfere in neighboring countries.

I don't see any PanSlavic tag as being needed (the country that got closest to it had absolutely no intent of renaming itself), while I would like some more attention be paid to east and south east europe (including the Caucasus, Romania, and Ruthenia / Ukraine), the absurd nationalism is neither going to help nor make the game better for everyone.

It has two empireses: Russia and the Commonwealth.
In these countries culturess belonging to any cultural group (Slavic) wouldes be acceptables.
I'm sorry but this is nonsense. Historically Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth had big problems with accepting one of those 'Slavic' cultures, let alone all of them. Those countries never constituted a center of all Slavic cultures the way China grouped all Chinese cultures.

By playing one of these countries one could create the Slavic Empire - gaining lands belonging to Slavic cultural groups.
It's not a real/historical concept, but a fantasy concept, therefore it shall not be added to EU4. But if you wish, you can make a mod with all the changes you want. ;)

New provinces and new cultures will be added.
Eg.
Slovenian culture
Lusatian culture
Moravian culture
Podlasian culture
The main problem I see with that, is that all of those would only have one or two provinces on whole map, which doesn't really affect gameplay and they don't differ that much from what already is there (Podlasian? really?). Though I'd indeed like to trade Saxon culture for Lusatian in those two provinces applicable....

Pomeranian and Slovakian cultures were added to the group of West Slavic cultures.

Problem is that Pomerania and Mecklenburg (the ones currently having Pomeranian culture) were already germanized by 1444, but I would support Słupsk, Gdańsk, Tuchola having a West Slavic (Kashubian?) culture instead of Germanic ones. Slovakian should be moved to Western Slavic I agree.

Countries belonging to the South Slavic group could form Yugoslavia - to defend themselves against the expansion of the Ottomans.

Considering that the game even has Romania formable it's actually not too bad, but I'd make it late game easter egg or something. But it's not something very needed.

Added to the Commonwealth a special system of government - the Sejm.
A new elector will be elected in it after the death of the last member of the ruling dynasty. The term of power would last until the death of the ruler or his overthrow. The rulers who had had a royal dynasty with their former dynasty left the candidates for the king's election. There would also be special edicts on the rights of the nobility. When they get there then the ruler has more support when it goes back and leads the war of the gentry proclaims rebellion.

Commonwealth in EU4 already has its own kind of government - Elective Monarchy, but it could indeed use some improvements as it doesn't quite have mechanics one would expect. :p

You could also create a patch or DLC that would extend the game time (the beginning of 1409 - Polish-Teutonic War).
Eh, just no. The last 20 patches (plus the upcoming 21st) all aimed to improve game balance and experience in the 1444 start, it just would require too much work for something that's really minor - as you can already have a Polish-Teutonic war in 1444 if you want.

Greetings from Poland. ;)

It is better to write on the map - Russia or Poland, or maybe the Slavic / Slavonic Empire?

The former, since those two polities actually did exist and weren't a barely tangible concept made out of romanticized history and jingoist / nationalist ramblings.

Think this whole thread can be resolved quite easy: Make a mod.

The concepts that are being discussed are either too narrow or too fantastic to fit within the EUIV narrative.

Just to say, the lombard kingdom of Italy was, in fact, the kingdom of northern Italy. Central and southern Italy were not ruled by the lombard kings, nor the carolingian empire, nor the HRE.
Coherently, to form Italy in the game you need to rule over a bunch of northern italian provinces historically ruled by the lombard kingdom, except Ancona and Roma.

1. But what I mean is that only in the epoch of absolutism came this decision. Then nationalism would also be the case - then all cultures similar to each other would be accepted, eg Belarusian and Serbian in Poland, or Tuscany or Naples in Venice.
2. Do not make mods :)
The Slavonic Empire and Pan-Slavicism are not fantastic. The Slavonic Empire is a ahistorical BUT REALLY.
3.November, maybe new cultures are and no sense, but you can always add new provinces :) From Podlasie a bit exaggerated :)
4.This can transfer Pomeranian to the Saxon culture or change its name to Brandenburg culture and add to it the provinces of Brandenburg and Maklenburg. And in several provinces create a new culture - Kashubian. It would be in the provinces - Gdańsk, Slupsk, Tuchola, Chełmn, Szczecin, Noteć and Gryfia - then it would be no small and senseless culture :)
5.Rumunia also needs improvement.
6.Nice
7.This may be a paid supplement? :( For me this time is terribly short. Extend mods I do not like.

I like the idea of Slavic Kingdoms, but only as a Mod. It is really something that is out of the frame and it will be just a alternate history. I see the point of view of Bossovsky (because I'm from Slavic country too) but not for EU4 Timeframe.

There was a discusion way back about for instance Great Moravia. To Bring that kingdom back as something formable. The reality is that... firstly it is out of the EU4 Timeframe (kingdom does't exist for about 500 years). Secondly ... it never happened and there was nobody (what i know) who would like to unify West Slavs at that time frame. So as much as I like the idea of Great Moravia... it is good idea for the mod but it will not be implemented because it is unhistorical.

So as a Slav I can say YES to .... for instance ZapadoSlavia or YugoSlavia ... but as somebody who would like to see historical facts in the game with actuall accuracy ...I say NO.

Let's focus on things that can be added or changed... so we can influence PDX

1. Adding Slovak culture to West Slavic Culture Group - this is a very good idea and after last updates it is possible. It was added to Carpathian culture group because there were different mechanics before and the culture will be converted very early. But these days you can just promote culture so it will be acceptable.
2. Creating Slovene Culture - I would like to see that too. They deserve to have their own Culture group. I see tha point that this culture is small and has no impact on the game. But more cultures means more flavor nad more flavor is nice.
3. Adding Pomerenian culture to West Slavic Culture Group - I was actually reading about this. And learned that in 14th century all pomeranians were already germanized. I'm not sure it this apply to all provinces in EU4. But in general they were. But I didn't go deep enough with reading so the reality can be different.
4. Moravian Culture - This one will be in current iteration of game only in one Province called Moravia. Also it is a big Province so it can be devided into 2 separate Provinces (for instance Brno and Olomouc). it will be interesting to see if somebody from Morava would like to see that culture there. I'm not against it.
5 Sejm is a nice idea to add flavor to Commonwealth. Sounds good to me. I didn't read about it yet but interesting idea.

More Provinces are very good idea. In regions were is a place to add them. Also more Province names are very good idea. So All kingdoms have more and more translated province names. This will add more flavor to the game.
This things can also be added in upcomming Hungary patch...or part of them because they are easy to implement and not game breaking.

I have already thought of the idea of the Slavic Empire, but I still think that although some Eastern Pomerania provinces should have a different culture - Pomerania or Kashubian, the East should belong to the Saxon region or create Brandenburg for them and Brandenburg culture. Yugoslavia makes sense too. If your name does not suit you then let it be called Illyria. South Slavic country of great significance - a common struggle for survival against the Ottomans and the Habsburgs.

AND FROM THE SLAVIC IMPERATIVE I HAVE BEEN RECOGNIZED AND WE ARE NOT COMING TO THIS TOPIC.

Edit: Apropo Morav - you can add 1 more provinces - Ostrava. You can still share Grodno in two parts - Gardinas and Suvalkai, Poznań to Poznań and Gniezno, Ortelsburg to Ortelsburg and Insterburg and Pest to Pest and Buda.
