I might give this one a try, never played it, although generic ideas are a bit bland.

About 5 countries in the world have generic ideas in 1444. Lan Na isn't one of them.

For those of you looking to switch to Hindu, Khmer has a few Hindu provinces, and fairly often actually collapses to Hindu rebels and switches itself. Even the AI knows that Buddhism is terrible

Well, I learned something. Time to start over because Animist is significantly less obnoxious to play compared to Buddhist right now.

Sure it's quicker to go animist, but I'd rather wait until I expand into Khmer/Champa and switch to Hindu instead. Animist isn't much better than Theravada.
